The "What Are You Working On?" Thread

Hi everyone
At the moment I am busy with the creation of a track for AC and I am also creating a course on how to create tracks for AC only in Blender I post some screenshots regarding the course.

Still got some texturing to do...and the dreaded sound, but it's nearly there. Got the exterior lights working, interior lights are blinding to look at but light up nothing around them, so I'm not sure what's going on with that.
:inlove: That's beautiful! Looks suspiciously like the winner of the 24h Le Mans 1937 :geek:
I can only encourage you, I would love some Endurance Racing Cars from that Period.

That's the one. I'm trying to follow what I can see of the 37 cars, but most of the good picture references are from the car in the Simeone Museum which has a few minor differences. I'll try to get as close as I can though.

A little update on the Formula Basic project.
I've done the animations for the wheels and suspension to a point where I think I can hand it over to the physics side of the project. Now to see what sort of hierarchy and naming issues we got ahead of us. At least we found some good data as the engine for these things stem from the enthusiast-laden Ford Fiesta XR2.

I have also contacted the series organizer who was rather positive towards the project. We agreed to find a day for me to come down to their workshop and sim arcade to have a look at the real car for measurements and reference photoshoots.

Hey, I own a series 1 rx8 with this interior, if you need any pics or have questions let me know. Excited for the mod! Looks great so far
Thanks for the offer, would really love some high res pics of the tail lights, especially the parking lights and ones clearly showing the patterns on the glass. From the interior - rear doorhandles, parcel shelf, A pillar speakers and handbrake/shifter area if you'd be so kind.

Sure. The buttons beside the shifter are navigation system specific. I got some photos of the glass patterns and everything requested. My taillight gaskets need to be changed so there may be some dust/moisture buildup. I couldn't get the photos for the fog lights as my car is in storage currently and they have cracked from old age. Hope this helps!

Recently it was found out that FINs in aero.ini apply the side-forces 90 degrees aligned from the wind direction, not the surface. Due to that all of my lateral aerodynamics, and everyone else's, were super screwed up once the car started to yaw a lot. You can make a true side-force with some math and side-drag application.

Putting in a more realistic lateral aerodynamics modeling has big implications for drifting. Subjectively it's made it a lot easier and it's kind of funny how difficult it'd be without aero.
