eye-tracking foveated rendering needs VRSS-2 compatible HMD eye tracking.
This VR tech (retina resolution for eye-tracking foveated rendering) will presumably be cheaperrunning a 3090 and had to pull his resolution back quite a bit in ACC to get 45 fps for reprojection to 90 fps
What what ?I'd love to try it before I buy it, tbh. It would mean a significant financial investment for me to move to VR for AC, and the uncertainty over image quality, FPS and compatibility with glasses makes me very reluctant to make that leap (although it does look really cool!)
3D printed lens mounts are available for some popular VR HMDs,glasses thing is also urgent

The metaverse is still a joke
All these issues circle back to the main problem, which is that virtual reality (VR), mixed reality (MR), and augmented reality (AR) are still all cool ideas with little utility for regular people. That may change, but no one has been able to crack that nut so far. VR is still primarily for gamers with social sprinkled in, but it has a long way to go before being mainstream (if ever).
