@Ian Franssen If it isn't too much trouble could you please post the server replay when you have a chance? I'd like to see what my wing loss event looks like on the server.

Also are the points going to be done via GPCOS like the Clio series or some other method? I don't see a section up for this series there yet.

Went on for a few laps at Portugal last night. Ended up doing a 60 litre stint and really enjoyed it.
The FR 3.5 felt great there.
Pretty low tyre wear and lovely tyre temps.
Mid corner the car really wanted to turn in a controllable way.
I think I will really get my teeth into this round.

Nice couple races grats to both winners Dino and Arnaud and guys who made podium's ! , surprised I was able to do OK considering I was only able to a run on Saturday and Sunday for practise being really busy with work, i was considering not doing race until tried and found it quite good to lap here and knew I wouldn't be to big a road block.
1st race last lap I started to pull heavily to left side under braking not sure if this was just tire wear or a brake problem I added more duct and less brake pressure and may have helped 2nd race as didn't happen. I find it difficult not to lock up tires, I always tend to lock the unloaded front tire under braking, anyone have same kind of problem or is it just mainly down to braking technique ? Any advice would be great.
Cyas next race can't wait really enjoying rf2

Dont unload the inside tyre, try to keep your steering wheel straight under heavy braking. If you have to break while you turn the wheel, be very gentle in the brakes to avoid lock ups.

For the moment i'm training track version with chicane... but it's not an issue for me if it's another version which will be used, really not a problem...! This chicane does not facilitate the work on gears!!!!

It's very tricky and it's mostly down to technique but you can certainly try to keep adjusting brake pressure down and that will help. At some point you'll be sacrificing too much straight-line braking force though, which you'll notice. You definitely don't want to be locking up enough to generate smoke. Short lockups of the inside front wheel when it's mostly unloaded aren't particularly bad but if you're smoking the tire (and a lot of people do) then you're going to create big problems for yourself.

It definitely sounds like in the first race you had a brake disc about to fail. If it goes completely then you won't even be able to slow the car rapidly without losing control, so it doesn't sound like you quite got there.

Thanks guys, its getting better each time each race and with practise, it also affects tire wear quite drastically front left was 20% and front right only around 60.
Will try out more in practise for next race I think its mostly my heavey left foot

Right, I think all my tires were above 60%. You really want to focus on "driving" the car into the corner rather than sliding it in, and then get a good exit, on the power as early as you can. Once you have that under control is when you should start worrying about improving entry time. When I first go on track that's how I approach getting up to speed.

My right front exploded 8 mins from the end, costing me the win. I didn't think I was so harsh on my brakes though.

20% closed
80% pressure
54:46 bias

I still finished, although I was carefully slowing and kinda counter-steered when I braked. But that was after I had to pit for a rear wing as I spun into the wall.

Yeah those are fairly conservative settings so I don't know. Maybe there's some variability in it, but of course how you're using them would also have some affect, but I would expect those settings to be safe. Similar mystery as to why my front wing popped off. :)

Well Ive had an interesting experience with the plr file and controller settings.
I started the game and all my usual settings were gone.
eg Assists : ABS abd TCS on, arcade type intruments and default wheel setings gone.
I changed the display settings and assists and started lapping.
Stuiff like exagerrated yaw and head movement were higher than my usual.
The car felt alive, I could hear the tyres (hadnt really realised that I couldnt before), ffb was beautiful, turn in was vastly improved. I could take it to the limit and control it.

I was 2 sec faster.
I wondered if it was my imagination so I went back to Mills Metro and in 20 laps was 3.2 sec faster than my quali lap for our race there.

So Ill see I guess, but I'm hoping that I'll have some pace now!

David... I need some of your new medicine!! ;)
I still drive very slow. Has try to change my setups a lot because at Mills my laps-time was really bads, and has win a bit buy not 3 seconds!!

It will be finne if someone at staff, please, says the correct layout of Portugal!!
