We'll race one is currently on the go and as you can tell, I'm out of it.
Quali was disappointing as I was only five tenths faster on 2 laps fuel that last night on 57litres!
In the race I was cautious to start with .sadly someone tried to drive around the outside of me, and turn into me with me fully sighted..despite All of the warnings Ian had given. As the guy drove over my front wheel he continue to accelerate and caused irreparable damage. I won't rant but I maybe it would help if I understood why. I will report it off the forum. This is the second race I've been smashed at the start in the f 3 league and two out of four in the Clio league. I hope for better luck in race two !

I don't know why but I could not begin the 2nd race.
I saw all the cars stoped, although I hear the sound of the start, I could not change my gear, see the others mates on the track...

it was really weird
I do not know what's happened but rFactor2 gone crazy
A shame because the first race, despite being the slowest, I enjoyed it. I supouse I had a very bad setup because I broke brakes missing 3 laps,. But at least I got to roll out the 10 after I started the 18 or 17.

I hope I have not upset the leaders when I went to take me a lap

I've been wanting to run the second race, but reentered but the rfactor was still crazy, and I would not let me into the server. My name appears at the clasification +2 laps, and also waiting an open sesion...

I hope I never have these problems next!

Cyril maybe the is a problem with skins. Was it the 2nd race?

It seems like my car sudenly appears in the middle of the track. And another weird think: I could not load my skin but in your replay it´s appears ok (the green car). I see always the default ones.

I hope the problem was not my computer...

My first change off grabing a podium, car thought something else. Was fighting with Mclure for P2 With P4 Wafflard beheind, so it could go any way on that moment, 50percent of race completed, P4 Wafflard made a mistake and i was catching P2 Mclure coming out corner 3 the car lost power and the engine was gone, no smoke before no warning what so ever just died on me
Wi'll have to make shure that it doesnt happens again although my setup isnt that alien from some other setups i heard on the track so a bit supprised for shure, and some big points gone for the championship aswell so really dissapointed about that
But had some good fun thats for shure great track to manage those F3.5 great race and grats to all teams

R1: It was going well with P7, then that last turn kerb got me and as I wiggled around I collided with Simon. Sorry mate

R2: P2 at the start, got David with a nice outside pass, the disappeared into the distance. Towards the end, Arnaud was getting closer, but the 6s I still had looked to be enough to take the first win for Basilea.

But about 8 minutes from the end, heartbreak for me: As I approached the chicane on the backside of the track, something appeared to have broken as my car spun around into the wall. Crawled back to the pits and replaced my rear wing, but the damaged was done.

While I drove around checking the car, I noticed that my right front brake temperature was stuck at 29°C. It must have broken on the run to the chicane and the car speered to the left as there was no brake force.

So gutted I lost a win, I am quite confident I'd have been okay for the next 4-5 laps, Anraud picked up the pieces

Was a little different on my screen. I saw the car in front of me disappear, which is what made me snap in 1st gear. Was my mistake but left me with a freaking drive through

Man that 2nd race was intense, made a couple of mistakes then the engine blew on the last lap!!!

Still finished 6th due to lapped cars so it could have been worse.

Had some good racing with Arnaud, Dino & Andrew so it was really enjoyable.

Looking at the videos posted something was wrong with my rf2 or my conection. My car is the green one. (It,s extrange because I could not load it at my rf2).
After I had to go out I entered to another server and had no problem...

So now a little longer version.

I just got the call yesterday night, that I might have to jump in.
Thanks to Andrew and Matt for supplying me with a setup and some telemetry.
Until today I never drove the FR35 here, but I knew at least the inner loop c and outer loop b layout, so only the chicane in S2 was new for me.

Did around 30 laps and got quickly up to pace and did some minor setup changes.
Got some running just before qualy. I didn't get all my best sectors together in qualy, but I was not expecting to be in P4 so close to the top.

On the start I was a bit better than Matt in P3, but gave him a lot of room so he could stay in P3.
Did a mistake later on lap one and David G. got by
After that I was stuck behind him for half the race until he made a bigger mistake. I didn't want to risk a move in race 1.

After I got by I was more than 8 seconds behind the leader and got it down to 1,5 seconds at the end. It was really a joy to drive and with P3 my first podium for the team in VWSR .

Race2:
I realised on the formation lap, that I forgot to load my race setup again, so I was on default <-- Very stupid.
Therefore I started from the pit and at least I would avoid any T1 crashes.
The traffic light was red for ages and I was 30 seconds behind last place and last place was already 10 seconds behind the main field. So I kept my head down and was putting in fastest lap after fastest lap.

I passed 4 or 5 cars pretty easily until I catched Ian. He was a lot slower, but still hard to pass. He defended into T1 and I outbraked him on the racing line and was going around his outside, but my rear and his front had a tiny touch which spun him round <-- Sorry for that I thought there was more than enough room.

After that I was closing quickly on David G. and this time I wanted to get by quickly. I tried some moves and nearly got him one time, but I was just too cautios.
A few laps later I went on the exit curb of the hairpin, which spun me into the barrier. It said body damage, but FW was still OK. That lost me 7 seconds. The next group ahead of David was now 10 seonds away.
Did a few slower laps and saw David's car park.

After that I did really push, but couldn't get close enough in time. Matt caught up on me and I let him past, so he maybe could catch them and take me with him. 1 laps more and it would have happened.

Was a very nice event. I was really in the zone and could pull out great laptimes. Race 2 was a bit of a shame, but was completely my fault.

thanks to all/. 2nd race was much better. apologies to martin. think i nudged you once in the rear and then later... you spun trying to overtake me at the hairpin. i just took the racing line and didn't expect to see you there! lol in fact, i didn't see you until the replay.

A very difficult track to overtake and took about 7 laps behind martin - even with good exit on final turn, he just had lower downforce and late braking was tricky. in the end think martin made a mistake and then, looking at replay, nearly got the position back. it was very fair and close racing.

later i seemed to be closing to arnaud and calum. once i got past calum he made a mistake) i thought i would run off into the distance but him and dino followed me. i felt very controlled and always felt i could managed the gap with lots of tyre left...but looking from dinos camera, it looks a lot closer and a little shunt from calum helped give me breathing space (i'm sure that was unintentional) .

thanks to all. it was nice of @David O'Reilly to say well done after a few issues in the past. perhaps we can move on? see you all in portugal!

It's optional but the consensus is that it really helps (was going to do it myself but forgot )

I did have some side by side moments with Nicky and Arnaud with some slight wheel banging and no issues though, but I'll still probably change it for next time.

Didnt expect such a good quali with P5

Had a decent start and lost a position against David G. The next laps i was able to go the pace from Frederic and David G. until i made a small mistake and lost 2 positions. I could quickly close the gap to David J. Then he made a mistake in the Final Corner hit me and i hit the wall . Lost front wing and my suspension was damaged. So i went to pit to become a new wing. With the damaged suspension and in result the sometime unpredictable behavior i was happy to end in P9.

In Race 2 i had a brilliant start from P7 to P4 nearly catching P3. The i was i bit to motivated on cold tires, spon and damaged again my front wing and the suspension. This time my own fault and a complete undrivable car. So i retreated from r2.

Hope the next one will be better.
