singapore lap times in FVRV8

Hi guys!,

Just getting my feet wet in the V8 supercars at Singapore. New to the car and track but getting up to speed.

Has anyone run there in the V8 car yet? I have run 15 laps consecutively and found I can comfortably run 2:11 all day long and the tires are at most 200 F. This is w/ a full 30 lap load of fuel and some reasonable setup parameters.

What is a quick lap there? I have run high 10's but the tires get beat up pretty fast at this pace. Am I even in the ball park?

Any help is appreciated as always!

I voted second and last. :)

That last livery is a beauty - it takes every other cool car livery, chews them up, spits them out and stomps on them. And then gets a couple of Russian hitmen to beat them up! :laugh2:

...Seriously though, that last paint job is beautiful. Looks right at home on that Datsun. :D

Rhys,

What did your tire temps look like? I am trying to build a race strategy and have no comparisons to speak of. Trying to figure out if runing a single stint vs. pushing hard w/ a pit stop will be better overall.

Any help would be appreciated by the NA group.

I completely agree. The only reason I haven't chosen to do that one flat out is it will be incredibly hard for me to paint. The others I can do with a cheap do-it-yourself white paint job and a stencil+rattle can red. The last is going to be a doozy.

By the way, welcome back Rhys! Haven't seen you in awhile.

OK Iam down into the 9's pretty steadily. But the tires go away after 18 laps regardless of temps. Is there a way to get a pit stop done in the practice server so i can time the pit in / pit out total time? I did a pit in presets but when I ask to pit and do so, the crew never touched the car.

Am I missing something?

I think the practice server is setup for quali only, so as soon as you roll into the pits u r done.

My strategies always include a pit stop. Unfortunately, it's usually for repairs from something I hit

Seriously, I'm planning a pit because these beast don't turn so well full of fuel. With all of the dangers @ Singapore, the single shotters have a high probability of having to pit anyway to repair damage.

Uh... heh heh... I don't know how to check tyre temps. :embarrassed: Sorry.
