Almost fell out of my chair, when coming up to the last corner in China and suddenly Raikonen was on my inside trying to pass. Sadly he clipped the post and lost his wing and both frontwheels.

This mod is making the game a blast! Thank you very much :D

Glad to hear you're enjoying it
And believe me if I could find a way to fix the "hardness" of those little bollards I would. They're incredibly annoying once you start tweaking the damage settings like most people do in the loose_parts_settings.xml file.

But anyway, glad the racing is good!

I think I've managed to install it..any clear things I can see to know its deffo installed..after a fresh install and just use mod my profile is corrupt, which is good

mod is great, had really enjoying battles with bots. Both of us often make mistakes and have wheel to wheel fight. Amazing work!
But, is there a mod or something, which can improve speed of bots? For example, i drive career in Marussia, and i always managed to qualify 14-15 and finishing in 8-10 places. Is there a fix, that i can fight only with rivals of my level (Caterham, HRT) and trying to fight with Toro Rosso?

I'll look into it - will be a CTF file adjustment most likely.

Love this mod. But still the speed of the AI seems to be tremendous in Qualy. Tried legend difficulty with Alonso at Monza. I drove a 1:24 with my controller, the fastest AI time was 1:22 i guess. So I also finish 18th and I drive already on the limit.

IF I COULD GET SOME FEEDBACK ON THIS RESPONSE BELOW FROM ANYONE WHO READS THIS, IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

Yes, there are a small handful of tracks where this occurs I believe.
Monza is one where the AI qualifies very quickly, and I believe Spa is another (unless maybe I'm just rubbish there...but I don't think I'm that bad).
I've imported the Nurburgring from Derpish (which will be available for v4.1, Thanks Derpish!!) and the AI's speed during qualifying is ridiculous.

BlazingRiCO (or anyone), if you could do me a favor:
Do a quick qualifying session at Monza (or Spa), but don't accelerate the time. Don't even go out and do a lap. See what kinds of times the AI does then. See if they're more similar to your speed from your previous qualifying session.

I'm having a weird issue right now at the Nurburgring where if any form of time enhancement happens, the AI does bonkers laps.
For instance I go to practice at Nurburgring and all is well. I then go qualify, let the time run normally for a few minutes and I walk away - AI does 1:33's or 1:35's (depending if it's Q1 vs a quick qualifying session). So I go do a drive out lap, do a couple laps, hit a 1:33 or whatever it happens to be, and am pretty competitive.
I then drive into the pits manually (not using the "return to garage" feature), I make it all the way to when the game does a cinematic with the crew pulling my car into the garage. I get into the garage (again, no time acceleration has occurred) and all of a sudden I'm down in 10th place and dropping. Somehow mysteriously between me driving into the pits and getting into the garage, some 10 AI cars have crossed the finish line and posted faster laptimes than me...even though none of those AI drivers were close to me (or even on the track in certain circumstances).

But then during the race everything goes back to normal and I'm competitive again...

So anyway, Nurburgring aside, if anyone could test qualifying at Monza or Spa and see how the times compare when you're doing "live timing" vs accelerated time, that would be greatly appreciated.

Ok did some laps on Spa, short qualify, legend difficulty, with Alonso and one of the best set-ups on RD for Spa. I drive 1:50.4 which is pretty onto my limit (not always flawless too). I could drive a 1:50 maybe. The fastest time was 1:48.7 set by Massa. Now I will do the same for Monza. Tbh, AI is too fast in qualify on each track almost. And it's not that I'm driving like a noob. Anyhow, will do the same now for Monza.

EDIT:

Same difficulty, driver. I drive 1:24.6 with almost no mistakes whatsoever. Still dropped to 20th, almost same time as the Williams and with HRT (ML2166 HRT Repsol Team) 1.5 sec slower than me. Fastest time is 1:22.8 set by Rosberg.

Also the thing is if I drive on proffesional difficulty the fastest AI times are roughly the same as mine. But for example: if I start 10th in the race it takes me some corners or laps to get lead. And if I have lead its really to easy to get a huge time gap between the one in 2nd place. So point is that for legend difficulty the AI in qualify is way too fast or overpowered. In race I can keep up pretty well.

Thanks for this mod. It's pretty incredible!

I just had a question bout the AI at china through turn 1... How did you change their line?

on time attack in valencia, the car shakes violently when speeds reach around 200kmh. Thats the only flaw, i think. Does this have anything to do with the fact that that event was more or less strictly setup by codemasters?

could you tweak a little bit more the AI, because the behavior in the race is amazing;) but sometimes AI tend to brake late and touching a bit on the rear spoiler, for example in my case on Australia that happens all the time in the second curve, could you adjust that? that would be perfect.

Ok, i made 3 Q sessions in Spa in Quick Race. I was driving Marussia.
First, i don't drive at all and don't use timeshift-based actions (time accelereting, go on "flying lap" option and "return to garage" option. Here are the results

In Second session, i made a fast lap without using timeshift-based actions. So i drived out of boxes, made lap and returned into boxes on my own. Here are the results

And this is the most interesting. On third try i choose "flying lap" option, made lap and then choose "Return to garage" option in the menu. Then i accelerated time and waited the end of Q. Suddenly, bots' results were amazing.

So, here is my conclusion. Mod works really nice and real, if you accelerate time and do flying laps instead of drive-outs. The gap between me and poleman is real, and my rivals are Caterham and HRT, as it should be.
But in races they are still slow, so what i want is make an optional fix (or tell me how to do it), which improves AI lap times around second a lap. With this, IMHO, AI will be much more competitive :)
