Actually found it pretty hilarious - the current gen equivalent(ish, if we choose the 2nd slowest petrol), so 4 generations and 30 years newer, has less bhp (184 vs 192bhp) and of course weighs more than mine So its not all bad

My father owned this exact car (same colour and rims)... just like it was yours before the accident.

Great handling compared to its competitors but low torque below 3500-4000 rpms and very slow steering ratio.

It brings back nice memories anyway when I was stealing it overnight without driving license ‘racing’ against my friend‘s Thema Turbo 16V (absolutely no comparison in straight line, no matter the similar peak power).

I had a E34 525tds in grey with the sloooow automatic gearbox. It was a fantastic car for long journeys between munich and the nürburgring. I bought it from a 90 year old guy and it only had 80.000km on the clock. Sadly had to sell it after I moved into a city due to it's bad emissions

Good memories. My 525i was late '92 alpinweiß II with rear spoiler. Had it several years and we spend together almost 100.000km.
