Show us your Rig / Cockpit

  • Michel Salvador

Received my Visionracer VR3 last week so thought I'd put a pic up. Its nothing compared to some of the incredible setups on here!

VR3
G25 with custom made (fully working) F1 wheel with display, 4 rotaries, 12 wheel buttons
32" 1080p display
5.1 surround (and headphones for those late night races! :D)
Currently playing a mix of rfactor, gtr evo, iracing, netkar pro, LFS, RBR and GT5.
Now all I need to do is get signed up for some RD racing club events, any recommendations?!

Well as far as I know monitors have HDMI outputs & it's a long workaround with signal converters - from HDMI to ethernet to digital video. & the converters are about as expensive as monitors themselves.
I wonder how Johan did it..
edit:
Oh now I get it, a monitor with HDMI input is required.

Both XBOX and PS3 are through HDMI :) The HDMI cable was €3.99 lol.
I just exchange the HDMI to the other console when I want to play with it...

Like atm the HDMI cable is into the PS3. But when I want to play on X360 I just take the cable out of the PS3 and into the XBOX360 :).

PC is through DVI.

My monitor is the LG W2261V-PF. That monitor is not available anymore.
The worse LG W2261VP-PF is the successor of it and it has a much worse TFT panel.

That's my monitor. As you can see it has 1x HDMI, 1x DVI and 1x D-SUB

Here it is my cockpit.I want to improve it with a G27 when christmas comes. :)The last picture is just an auto artistic photo.

Hi guys,

Finally got everything hooked up and wanted to share some pictures of my cockpit with you all.

3 20" ACER Monitors
ATi HD 5850 with Eyefinity
Playseats Evolution with G25
MMG SimRDisp7x Desktop Edition

Oh... and I modded my computer desk. Two L-brackets and a piece of wood to make everything fit. LOL :D

Very Sweet ... hoping one day to do the same myself, but with 3x22" monitors.
How does it run with the triple view enabled? Guess you have to lower graphics quality a bit to get good fps??

Thanks Lee.

Actually Race On I can play with everything maxed out and with a full grid it runs at about 50 to 80+fps. DiRT2 I run at medium settings and still looks amazing. Took a bit of getting use to but now I don't think I could every go back to using one monitor for racing or other games.

^^ I likes yer thinking bud, but I think you might find you need the 5 series ATI cards to do triple view without a matrox Th2go which is the price of a decent card in itself!
... hence me going for the 5770 - its was way cheap, but Xfired up it will do the same kinda performance as a 58XX card, does triple view, AND two of em costs way less than a 58XX card :good:
