Show us your Rig / Cockpit

OK, guys, want to see something hilarious? Among all those super advanced, super elaborate and super expensive cockpits (which I really admire!)? Here's my rig :) - if any of you complain that three monitors are no longer the same as in 2015, that a curved 55” would be better, or that his Asetek, three button boxes and LED/LCD displays are still not the peak of comfort - you can console yourself. ;)

And more seriously - the other thing is that given the available space, as well as the budget, I'm really happy with what I've been able to achieve for single-player and non-competitive gaming. I set the whole thing up in a minute (including gently raising the desk), tuck it under the desktop in a minute.... Specifically to fit the T300 (the successor to my DFGT) I bought an adjustable desk frame, ordered a desktop with pull-out keyboard shelf (then I had to move it back an extra 3 cm and raise it by 1.5 cm anyway) - everything is measured very carefully, but it works :)

With more space it would be nice to have a more solid cockpit, but I'm not sure if I'd want a separate screen or a dedicated, attached seat. I think I'm still not so much into racing :) A movable but better stand next to my desk and a monitor on a movable arm or a large TV close to my PC in the living room would be enough - and who knows, maybe in the near future.... :)

Recently put this VR rig together. I need tips on cable management.
For the first month do nothing, things will change (a lot ;))

If the clutter aggravates your inner Monk, tug them together/away with VELCRO cable ties.

When you think that your rig will stay for that at least for a while
(don´t even try to convince yourself that "you are done") you coiled use the same coilde cable tubes as on your motion system and fix them with velcro cable ties.

I have a roll of 10mm double sided velcro that I cut to length.

Mines worse then that, I'll take a photo later.

Once I compared photos of my set up to a few others, It became pretty obvious that some people had removed all wiring and cables, and even the PC before taking the photos so they looked incredibly clean.

That's not an excuse for my own shoddy setup though.

And each time my wife keeps reminding me that I said that I was done…
I bought a new motion simulator a few weeks back, I put my old gear on facebook marketplace.

It came up on my wifes facebook feed.

Then the questions started, if I were selling it for thousands of dollars, how much did I pay for it? and how much was the new system, and how much was all this gear anyway?

God damn.

Now I know that when listing items on marketplace I can select an option so its invisible to people on my friends list, and I bet this is exactly why this feature exists.
