Show us your Rig / Cockpit

@johnny_91
it looks like an expensive seat, from what I can see of it, it also looks very well padded and very comfortable.
If you could tell me what seat it is I would be most grateful even though it is probably out of my price range.
I have been looking for a replacement from my Sparco rev2.

Here you can find some examples for "enclosure seats":

You should be aware that most of these are quite tight because profesionel racers are skinny.
Also i don´t think that most of these are to comfy for longer sessions in your rig.
Full enclosure and six point harness shouldn´t be necessary for simracer, except he uses the godfather of all motionrigs und would be ejected of his seat.

For most people a more basic seat, maybe even reclinable with less side support would be more comfortable for the longer sessions.

Most racingseats are build for rigidity, light wheight and protection and are not equipped with thick cushions.

Before buying you should test the desired model by sitting in it and reading a complete sunday paper.
If after that you still like it you have found your seat.

got a monitor arm to bring the screen closer and it was a good solution since i don’t have any plans for triples so a monitor/tv stand felt like an overkill.

How stable is the RS1 with direct drive?

How stable is the RS1 with direct drive?
It's not the worst around here, but not as rock solid as good 80/20 rig. If you look at the design, wheel mount is suspended on that tube arm that is fixed to chassis on one side only, so there is a bit of cantilevering effect that eats small details.
But that not as bad as shifter mount and pedal tray. Those are really bad.

surprisingly stable enough. It’s bolted on sim lab mounting bracket.

was in the same boat and it all depends on what you would like to have and the equipment you will buy.

So I actually wanted something easy to build/put together and “would fit” in with the rest of the furniture/house.

i started with thrustmaster then fanatec and now SC2 with fanatec CSP V3 pedals (nothing to mention or complain about when it comes to the pedal plate).

This is what i got in the box so it took no time to build it.

Rseat offers other products besides RS1 (got mine while on offer).

Still 80/20 is the de facto choice since it gives you the best stability out there and more mounting options.

If your desk has enough horizontal leg room, you can still tuck a P1 or similar 8020 rig’s pedal area under the desk and up to the rear of your wheel base. And if you bottom mount your wheel base you might get a few more inches than that. You can also push the seat further back so you can move the uprights further back, giving you even more room.
That’s the advantage with aluminum profile - wherever a T-nut can be inserted, profile can be mounted.
I’m currently designing a desk “platform” that will have a recessed area where my rig is, so my rig will tuck under the desk all the way to the uprights. Reduces the geometric cost, will improve acoustics (can dynamat or sound proof the inner walls of the recessed area). If only I had more time...

You gotta need a bigger boat desk. :)
Afraid P1-X is a no go, at least in my experience, but perhaps some starter models like sim-lab GT-2 are more desk friendly.

Sim-lab models in black profile look very clean and not out of space in the living room.
Footprint is bigger than Rseat RS1 though which you can just tuck under the desk.

My very old setup with one.

I think all the profile stuff with custom wheel/pedal mounts look great myself, not as keen on the all profile wheel mounts as they look too makeshift for me. I know some people though really just don’t like aluminium profile visually and prefer box/round tubing.
