I think the last one is even a bit closer if you consider that there are more points to gain.

nope, I was on 267 points and Aidan was on 270, I was ahead. But it's okay now.

And that's exactly what happens when you sort only names and points, as the points are calculated using the results, so they remain the same unless you include the results in the sorting process
