Hi Yves, thanks for that. Yes I don't want to spoil anyones enjoyment and although slow and will get lapped, I always try and keep out of the way of the fast guys. Interesting point about keeping on the racing line as in public forums, people start having a go because you don't get out of their way and I'm like "hang on a minute!! it's your responsibility to get past me so I'll bear that in mind when racing

Jim, Welcome aboard and don't be shy about entering races. The practice sessions will give you a chance to see what's happening around you and I'm sure you'll fit in, we all do. Like Yves said, the Club races are all about fun.

Sign me out please, i've just deleted Race from my hdd and will not be installing it again.

Ok, after venting with a couple of beers i decided to just reinstall Race07 and GTR Evo .

Everything seems to be ok so i would like to sign back up please.

It's the mod events that really made me think about hanging in with this sim

lol. I had a similar problem yesterday. After the update, race 07 crashed every time I loaded it.
I had to reinstall steam to fix.

for me the race07 conversion was easy, when i started the game it converted the game format, and i had to do the same to all of the expansions, nothing more had to be done, except remapping the controls and reinstalling the tracks and cars, it was a bit annoying

You dont need to remap the controlls, just find your old race 07 installation folder in the document/simbin, then copy your old files to the new folder or delet the new one, but you have to change the games location in the gameinstalldir.ini

GameInstallDir=d:\program files\valve\steam\steamapps\yourname\race07 this to ---> that-->
GameInstallDir=d:\program files\valve\steam\steamapps\common\race

I'm using a Logitech Momo black wheel. I had a driving force GT which did the same, but I could never get that wheel to work properly again.

Yep, under the exit button, it writes the version number and next to that, the dlc-s you have been installed, and you will find a new car in the wtcc section

Mine never was the same too, thats why i bougth a g27, now it works fine and i have a clutch pedal

It doesn't look like I'm going to make it guys.
Still downloading and while I could run the sim, I cannot see anything on the PC, no folders to put the track in!

If it all works out, I'll be there but looking bleak

Those cars sure take some skill to race around a track, saturday ain't a good day for me to play PC games but I'll see if I can manage.
