PC3 Project CARS 3 Released

Slightly delayed news about a Slightly Mad Studios product - Project CARS 3 is now available to the general public having released on console and PC Thursday 27th August.

• PCARS 3 available on Xbox, PS4 and PC.
• Over 200 cars and 120 tracks available.

At long last, following a brief early access period for people who pre-ordered the title, Project CARS 3 has finally released to the wider world - hitting real and virtual stores yesterday (Thursday 27th August) for both console and PC versions of the title.

Representing something of a departure from the original Project CARS franchise, the third instalment of the series places a greater focus on the customisation of both the car and game experience - moving away from the more simulation roots of the original games.

With a loyal fanbase of the original games having mixed feelings about the new direction on the build up to release, it will be very interesting indeed to see how well received the new title is over the coming days and weeks.

Dude you can find these in Steam, so that's why I ask where is PC3 free Demo? It was possible to create independent and limited PC1 Pagani Edition as Free Demo so why not PC3, so we can test it without payment!

It doesn't seem like the game has been very successful.
There were more people, on Project CARS 3's release date, playing Project CARS 2 throughout the whole day.

The all-time concurrent peak, which always happens on the first day, has been barely just 1,218 people, compared to the 6,775 on PCARS2 and the 10,688 on PCARS1, it's horribly staggering.

The reviews and averages on both Metacritic and Opencritic, from the media and the users have, in all departments, been worse than the previous two tittles.

What were SMS thinking with all this?

Ironically, the best thing about this game is still the Stephen Baysted soundtrack. The soundtrack overall might not be as good as the two previous, the D'n'B by other composers feels a decade too old, but it still has some very good music in there.

You say that PC3 is better than PC2 in many aspects, but only mentions problems with PC3. In which ways is PC3 better than PC2 according to you? BTW, did you use Christiaans custom FFB files for PC2?

FFB is better and graphics. No i don't use extra mods.

I'm doing a 4K youtube video with the Bentley on the NS. It's an 8 Gb video.

And definitly the ffb is so much better with the Bentley on the Nordschleife that it feels like a good sim.

Yeah they won’t be getting my money this time I fell for it twice before.

With sims like RF2, ACC, AC, AMS, RRE, GTR2 I simply don't have time to engage with their nonsense software.
When the developers posted messages about users restricting pre-release videos only to their website, you knew it was time to 'abandon ship'.
If you can't take criticism and use it to better your products, you have no business being in the sim racing industry.

I was a big fan of PC2. PC3 is not a sim but still a fun racer. I quite like it.

It is a sim on many aspects and better than Pcars 2.

I honestly rarely watch these so called simracing "influencers" on youtube but this one gave me a few laughs because everything he said is true.
It's not only the fact that PCars3 is arcade or not. One of the most annoying things in PCars2 was curbs behaviour and regardless of who the game caters, that bug got transferred to PCars3.
Let's call things by their name. Ian Bell and company are just lazy af, deliver half baked games and take your money.

And to add to it, ACC had the same unrealistic behaviour in curbs at the beginning and within months Kunos fixed it.
Trust me, the hate that PCars get is not unjustified.

Good for you if you feel like listening to some dweeb "youtuber" ranting about a game company.
As if he'd even know what it takes to make a game, arcade or otherwise.

I said it was an arcade racer, which is perfectly fine.

The hate is coming from the simracers who's expectations are misaligned with the reality of it.

They're not even the target market for it.

I might buy it when it gets to $10 to have a play, but apart from that it's no skin off my nose.

I'm watching the F1 qualification and about trolling just lol.

I spent enough time with jack spade files on Pcars 1 and never been convinced.

The FFB on Pcars 2 is bad as the physic is.

Driving a GT car which should be like driving a piece of wood with 4 wheels feels like that :

Not talking about PC3, but PC2, this is one of the aspects that the game actually gets better than most other sims. I can make a case that the lack of weight shift in AC and ACC educated a big group of simracers the wrong way about this.

So in an effort to support this....disaster that's called Project Cars (the entire TRILOGY)....for your own reasons....you're willing to go so FAR as to claim that they have better physics than what pretty much everybody considers as some of the best racing SIMULATORS out there? Even simcade fans do! Wow.....talking about fanaticism.

Just sat here scratching my head to what they did, I mean taking away the actual racing aspect,
no pit stops, no tyre wear, no proper starting procedures like qualifying and such, having to buy setups,
I said it before its just a mockery they turned there franchise into a circus, they just cant be taken seriously anymore at all and what blows my mind even more is asking something like 89,99 someone mentioned for the deluxe version its shocking totally, just day light robbery at best,
not 1 single person will get any benefit from this game at all if they say there getting there monies worth there lying and ill tell them so idm, this game brings absolutely 0 offerings to the table at all,
its not even a game just a screenshot engine.

Who's trying to "bork" it? We're just sharing out thoughts. Just because they're negative doesn't make them false. And it's certainly NOT a "FEW" who have only bad things to say about it. We get it....you LOVE it, or support it because...i don't know...everybody has reasons, but clam down. Chill. Relax.
Unless you're an SMS employee and you're afraid that it won't sell and you'll get fired....there's no reason to react the way you do. We're talking about specific things here and you're just unloading the shotgun.....about iRacing or Raceroom having issues. What...

PopRacers FFB file is really good, It's based on Christian's i believe but tweaked a lot more, It's got me firing up Pcars2 again as there is a lot of content i like in it, I was a Pcars backer and i can confirm i got more money back than what i put in so we can all put that one to bed. People have a lot of bad stuff to say about Ian Bell but he was a man of his word on this score, Cheers.

There is one person who said that it looks worst than NFS. I have NFS2 and i don't understand how you can say this kind of thing.
Another one said that it looks worst than Pcars 2 when it looks better. Again....
That's why i'm saying that there are a few people being dishonnest and trying to bork the game.

As i said i'm doing a youtube video (i will probably do it again after picture calibration).

It is uploading now, 8GB, both games (PC2 and PC3) with high settings in 4k, played with an RTX2080.

It's a good game. FFB is superior on many aspect's to PC2's FFB and graphics are better than Pcars 2. I will make a video.

What a bunch of lies on internet just unbelievable.

If you ask for a refund for PC3 ask for a refund for PC2 in the same time.


What is sure is that many youtubers had an agenda and "my honest" is in fact "my most dishonest review".

I wanted a refund even on PC1 ...

Fact is, if you are in to this kind of simcade, you love it.

I will not be on the PJC3 hype train this time.

I love SIM but enjoy some simcads time to time... But I hate PC3 !!
