Slightly delayed news about a Slightly Mad Studios product - Project CARS 3 is now available to the general public having released on console and PC Thursday 27th August.
  • PCARS 3 available on Xbox, PS4 and PC.
  • Over 200 cars and 120 tracks available.
At long last, following a brief early access period for people who pre-ordered the title, Project CARS 3 has finally released to the wider world - hitting real and virtual stores yesterday (Thursday 27th August) for both console and PC versions of the title.

Representing something of a departure from the original Project CARS franchise, the third instalment of the series places a greater focus on the customisation of both the car and game experience - moving away from the more simulation roots of the original games.

With a loyal fanbase of the original games having mixed feelings about the new direction on the build up to release, it will be very interesting indeed to see how well received the new title is over the coming days and weeks.

Pretty biased reactions here.....
Either you are for it, or against it.
Fact is, if you are in to this kind of simcade, you love it.

I will not be on the PJC3 hype train this time.

For those who do, please have fun with it. For those who don't, please don't.
We're just sharing out thoughts. If that bothers you just don't read anything. This happens all the time and it's perfectly normal. Some people like some things, some others simply don't. It depends on personal preference and standards.
You can make a comparison between dog poop and pizza and there will still be some who will say they prefer dog poop. Literally, believe it or not. It's unavoidable. People are weird and like weird stuff for weird reasons.
I'm not judging anybody for liking PC3. It's their money going down the drain not mine. I'm not forcing them to NOT like it.
As for the hype train....it's already gone. Even if you wanted to be on it, you're late.

So let's see. We now have Project Cars 1, Project Cars 2, Automobilista 2 and Project Cars 3 with the same flaws.

  1. More cars than anyone actually drives
  2. Poor AI
  3. Laughable FFB (AMS2 I will give you a slight pass)
  4. No replay system that is actually useful in improving driving technique
  5. No table that shows all of the lap times during practice run
In addition let's add

  1. No pits stops (racing game ?)
  2. No tire changes (racing game?)
  3. Buy a setup ( Huh?)

And my favorite test of whether a game is arcade or sim. No Motec support for telemetry coming from the car so that you will know why you suck . Without that information, you are just pissing in the wind. I'll pass. At some point buyers gotta stop hoping for something different from the same people. (yeah I am looking at you too Codemasters).

is this a pCARS or a Steam meme.

if its fired on SMS, you shot the wrong men.
But sure, any idi.ts crawl out of their wholes and tries to put his big trash can on that .
Nitpickers are not bored anough to find any little detail to do that.
Thats poor and naive.
Go to facebook. There you'll get more followers

The only thing that feels fairly familiar is the physics. Wobbly and bouncy , making direction changes a gamble because the weight transfer is over-exaggerated and a tire model which struggles to stay in contact with the road surface making things even worse overall. I could go as far as to say that they used the same physics and tires as in SHIFT 2 because the rear tends to slide a bit too much. Not as much as it did in the vanilla SHIFT 2, but it still does, more compared to PC2 for example.

Not talking about PC3, but PC2, this is one of the aspects that the game actually gets better than most other sims. I can make a case that the lack of weight shift in AC and ACC educated a big group of simracers the wrong way about this.
