I know we are all excited for this release. What I don't know is how many people intend to a) play it on the xbox one and b) would like to join some sort of a formal league here at Race Department.

There are so many possibilities, I've had to calm myself down from getting lost in them. However, my main passion, IndyCar, will probably not be able to be run until the DLC with the ovals comes to the Xbox One.

That said, what sort of series would you like to see? Personally, ones that come to mind are Tudor United Sports Car Series, WEC, British Touring Car, and DTM. One of these could fill the gap for me until IndyCar is possible, but others may have better ideas.

Please indicate below if you are interested and what sort of times you are available and which series' you prefer. We could follow the actual schedule of many a series, due to the timing of the release. Personally, if they get the ovals out before IndyCar starts, I'll probably turn my focus there, but nothing would prevent running another alongside.

The anticipation is killing me!

Spiff, Toast and Rebel, can anyone do more testing on the Public Room with Passwords? I'm pretty sure you can't join in on a Gamertag with a Private Lobby. This will make it a Hard start at 8pm EST. I don't really want to spend 20-30 mins sending invites out, People in the UK are already up til 1pm trying to race.

If drivers join the party first, a generic party invite will do. I thought one could join a private lobby if on one's Friends List. If invites start at 7:45, we should be able to start at 8:00. I think we should all be "pro" enough to have our connections sorted, snacks and diapers on hand, and be ready to race.

Lol...diapers
I sweat too much to worry about needing that, but I do recommend staying hydrated before the race, maybe eat a banana or potassium to avoid leg cramps.
Longest race I ever ran non-stop was NASCAR Inside Line Coca-Cola 600 4.5 hrs. Ive always wanted to try the Indy 500 and Coke 600 on the same day. :O_o:

The Track

Monza_track_map.svg

Monza, originally built in 1922, is the worlds third purpose built race track, only behind Brooklands and Indianapolis. 5.793km (3.600mi) Of pure speed, with 11 official turns, with the fastest lap to date a 1:21.046 by Rubens Barrichelo in the Ferrarri F2004. Contrary to many peoples beliefs, the oval circuit was not the first version of the Monza track, the oval first appeared in 1954, as the first version was deemed to be too dangerous, in 1928, 1 driver and 27 spectators were killed in the most serious Italian racing accident to date. in 1933 the track claimed 3 drivers in 1 race, prompting chicanes to be installed, which remained until 1954. When the oval was created, it could be combined with the old track to create a 10km speedfest. At time of typing, Monza is currently having changes made to turn 1, and there is an idea to add gravel back to the Parabolica bend. Monza is a dangerous track, as of now it has claimed the lives of 18 drivers in it history, kind of like our sprint races.

Rolling starts are gone, happy?

Did Grosjean deserve his lap 1 penalty he was so upset about?
