I know we are all excited for this release. What I don't know is how many people intend to a) play it on the xbox one and b) would like to join some sort of a formal league here at Race Department.

There are so many possibilities, I've had to calm myself down from getting lost in them. However, my main passion, IndyCar, will probably not be able to be run until the DLC with the ovals comes to the Xbox One.

That said, what sort of series would you like to see? Personally, ones that come to mind are Tudor United Sports Car Series, WEC, British Touring Car, and DTM. One of these could fill the gap for me until IndyCar is possible, but others may have better ideas.

Please indicate below if you are interested and what sort of times you are available and which series' you prefer. We could follow the actual schedule of many a series, due to the timing of the release. Personally, if they get the ovals out before IndyCar starts, I'll probably turn my focus there, but nothing would prevent running another alongside.

The anticipation is killing me!

Rolling starts are gone, happy?

I Don't mind either way to be honest but should be better with a standing start

Did Grosjean deserve his lap 1 penalty he was so upset about?

Yes, taking out my man Ocon

Any early predictions for F1 in 2018?

Mercedes on top, Followed by Ferrari, McLaren and Red Bull

Sure am. Going to roll with it and see how it goes.

No, Ocon was a bit hopeful I think., they both lost the back.

It will start in March in Australia. I predict Massa to un-retire again and be on the grid (only joking). I will guess the winner will be 1st HAM, 2nd RIC, 3rd VET, 4th VES, 5th RAI - See how that pans out.

Shame because I think when done properly they are quite interesting and im not very strong at the standing starts :(

Dunno didn't see it.

Orders going to stay as it is but McLaren will hopefully be fighting with Redbull.

Spiff, Toast and Rebel, can anyone do more testing on the Public Room with Passwords? I'm pretty sure you can't join in on a Gamertag with a Private Lobby. This will make it a Hard start at 8pm EST. I don't really want to spend 20-30 mins sending invites out, People in the UK are already up til 1pm trying to race.
I wish I could. I barely have enough time to practice.

Yep said in pre season preview they are a mistake and whilst it’s a shame it was pretty inevitable. Thanks agent Jeremy lol

So I’ve been testing long runs on my setup for this race. It’s a great fast setup, but I’m noticing it gets loose as I get into the middle of a stint. It almost becomes twitchy, despite being nice and tight/ responsive earlier in the stint. Is anyone else noticing this? Is that a result of tire wear? Or should I tune for more understeer via dampers to have it become more stable during a long run?

Sounds like it could be a tire wear issue. Typically my car gets loose late in the run as well as the fuel load burns off I have to run my bias towards the front. Since most of the Porsche's weight is on its rear axle it could be the rear tires wearing or shift in weight from fuel burn off. Each car will have its own set of characteristics based on design and then on your own setup.

I'm finding it hit and miss with the password protected lobbies. Sometimes it seems to keep randoms out fine (or they just don't bother attempting to join, not sure) and other times they flood in from every direction all at once. What does seem consistent though is that there's no need to input the actual password for anyone to join into the lobby...
I think we should do a private lobby if we can just in case it shows the password one on the public lobby list and gives everyone lag with random people suddenly joining.
