We could use that feature in club racing! Go punch the person who took you off in turn 1 at the start of the race :D Awesome!

If that feature was live in open lobbies you might as well call it Mortal Combat 10 :roflmao: 3 cars on track and 27 blokes in the pits kicking the s&&t out of each other....
Exactly Paul, it's time to simulate this:

Well I'm happy. Simbin being back on the block and bringing the fans of GTR and GTR2 the next installment.
It feels like a very long time since I fired up the original and was blown away by the graphics, handling and those awesome sounds.
I can only hope that they take what they knew before, spruce it all up to current graphical levels and increase the immersion of a proper race weekend in multiple disciplines. Whether they include it all or just a decent base package followed by series updates of new licenses they manage to acquire should be ok and there have been a few cool ideas in here that the Devs will hopefully take note of.
I too hope for SRO license, WEC, Blancpain and all the other series that people on here have eluded to.
I hope they put all the things in that many community members have shown a desire for. It would certainly be an eye-opener if they listened to all the comments and implemented as much of the needs of the sim-racing community as possible.

I'm excited for the news and wish the team good luck and fortune with this release. I'm hoping it will be the new go-to sim that so many crave.

as long as it doesn`t affect PC version in negative way money comming from console market could only help ... other than that I don`t care .. no reason to use console over PC ..

I'm happy to see it on console tbh (so long as it doesn't have a negative impact on the PC version) as I firmly believe console is the entry level for sim racing, and more often than not a console gamer who seriously enjoys racing games will one day make the jump to PC and find out about the rF2's, AMS' etc of this world.

Good for us PC sim racers as it broadens our userbase, which is a win for everyone.

Plus of course the chances of increasing revenue from console game sales helps support the overall business of the studio which in turn allows more creative freedom to build the game closer and closer to what can be best achieved.

I want all of that and brilliant AI and full replays with a director mode. And I would like animated podium celebrations.

GTR 3 - 3.jpg

Yet more racing images from Unreal 4 engine released by Simbin Studios following the recent GTR 3 reveal.

On the off chance you've been living under a rock these past few days you may have missed our big GTR 3 reveal recently. Following the overwhelming positive reaction to that news, Simbin UK have released a few more mouth watering images from the new graphics engine to be used in GTR3.

Again featuring the epic Spa circuit in Belgium, the latest batch of screens show us the Formula One venue playing host to a group of BMW GT3 cars in a variety of lighting conditions, showing off the power of the Unreal 4 graphics engine in shockingly beautiful detail.

With the power of Unreal 4 behind the title, GTR 3 will be able to host a fully scalable time of day transition, giving the studio the opportunity to run proper 24 hour racing with the game simulating the visual differences as the sun drops below the horizon and night takes hold of the circuit. It sounds like an obvious thing to include in a racing game, but sadly all but a few current generation sim accommodate night time racing in the current crop of games. What's more, with Unreal Simbin will now be able to simulate a wide range of weather conditions, to a level previously impossible given the limitations of the technology on offer at the time.

"Well with unreal we will have aquaplaning and water displacement that will affect the handling of the car. Its a great opportunity to move forward the wet weather implementation found in current racing games" said Studio Head Allan Speed.
This could be big a big win for racing sims going forward and will go a long way towards bridging the realism gap present in a today's marketplace. With advanced weather and time of day conditions, new physics, artificial intelligence and damage model coupled with the usual Simbin quality found across it's back catalogue of games, early signs are GTR 3 could well be a big hit.

If you missed our reveal article earlier, you can read it again here.
