While agree with a lot of your points on modding, surely car skin modding should at least be implemented? it is a disappointment not to have it in Raceroom.
Leagues like to modify skins to suit their needs, especially here at RD :thumbsup:

Yes I'd agree with that, Raceroom would be greatly enhanced if it allowed at least one custom skin per class of car.
Oh dear. No Blancpain? Now I'm much less optimistic. Seems very strange to use Blancpain on the screenshots if there is no Blancpain license.

Looks like it's the ADAC GT3 cars my friend, looking at the number plates on the side.

Shot below of the ADAC GT Masters :) Not sure what year it is as there are other pics with Certina on the windshield.

I would imagine though that a Blancpain licence will be what the Simbin team will be working towards.

I was just thinking what to do with that good old but rarely used GTR2 on my hard drive. Now I know... it will stay for a year more. =)
 
Last I heard, Simbin was dead and gone. I do not keep up with things, clearly. If this is the case, then I can only wonder when, if ever, there might be a GT Legends 2. With DX 12. And all sorts of other goodies. Hmmm?
 
We knew it was coming. I can't wait. GTR 3 and no need to be online = heaven for me.:thumbsup: I really hope they make the AI the best ever in any sim. Proper offline championships and stuff, 24 hr races etc, I much prefer to race against good AI than humans who won't race fairly.
Andy, Bang on with your comments. The old GTR 1/2 AI was superb and I remember my son (Who was 11 at the time)and I doing a 24 hour race at Spa and loved it. Now he is 22 and lives around 250 miles away we both long for driver swaps in a new sim that would allow us to race together in an multiplayer endurance race.
 
Back in the days a series license costed nothing.

Back in the days sims were so complete people played them for years and years with studios going bankrupt for not having an income.

Times have changed

I can live with DLCs if the base content is plenty and the game is good. Getting DLCs can be interesting to expand a good game in this kind of situation.

Otherwise, if the game has bare any stuff in and the DLCs are just stuff that should be there in the first place, then it's a damn ripoff. Sadly that's more or less every game these days.
 
Logically you want a series license that has all makes. F1 achieves this as the license is with the FIA who have final say and not the manufacturer. I don't know if any series in the GT ranks can claim that but if I had my choice Blancpain (as mentioned) including any support series and Blancpain and SRO have a working arrangement with the Pirelli World Challenge. If they could pull off that duo for licensing then you are not confined to Europe only tracks but awesome tracks like Road America, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park and many, many others. Plus PWC here in North America is not strictly GT3. They have a separate race for GTS (GT4 now) plus other classes. A typical weekend sees 4 races each day for multi and single class racing.
Apart from that I want an A.I. that isn't follow the leader, an A.I. co-driver for long races based on your lap times and a chance to work my way up from a bronze driver in a Am or Pro-Am team to a Platinum driver :)
 
This took me by complete surprise. (No "console" in the article title...sneaky!). Another embarrassment of riches for the console folks in 2017,with DiRT4, F1 2017, Forza7, pCARS2, and Wreckfest slated to drop within a year. We have all the elements on console: Assetto physics/sound, pCARS weather/content, and DiRT Rally's constant 1080p/60fps. If SimBin can tie all of this together and make MP stable, they will be on to something.

Any chance that some genius will figure out that there are 300 million people on the other side of the Atlantic who dig ovals? I mean, if you say you are in it for the money....
