AC Group C @ Sebring International Raceway - Weds 22nd July 2020

Assetto Corsa Racing Club event
Do the brake lights show up correctly in VR for you with the PP off? I'm just re-installing a clean copy of AC as I cannot see the track very well in VR either due to it being washed out. Strangely, if I stick my head out the window it looks fine :D

I've never given the brake lights on other cars much thought. I guess I must be able to see 'em. If not, it's a crackin' excuse :whistling::laugh:.

I've just given the track a go & it mostly seems okay. Then again, I have a rough idea of where I'm going, and where to brake (there are few corners in the 1st sector that I'm messin' up...) from a previous race + I have a scratch on one of my lenses so everything looks a little blurry anyway. That said, the track doesn't look washed out to me. In comparison, Automobilista 2 is far worse.

It might be an idea to try a different car - formula abarth? - to learn the track, then switch back to the ST.

My re-install just finished and I added the track. With default settings it was all washed out, and has the same quirk that it looks ok when I poke my head out the window. Disabled PP and it looks ok too, so it appears to be something caused by PP. I'll have a longer play after work, but I have noticed that the brightness seems to change with PP enabled depending on where my head is positioned in the car, so I'm wondering if there is some kind of automatic exposure going on.

Either way, ta for pointing me in the right direction @pattikins!

Is the LT easier to control? Haven't had a chance to drive any of the cars yet hopefully get some practice in tonight :)
Imo the ST is easier Simon, it has shed loads more downforce than the LT, and whilst it's a turbo engine, you can't adjust it.

On the other hand, the LT is a beast - the lower downforce and adjustable turbo make it formidable on the straight bits. :)

Ah man... this is turning into a nightmare game of whack-a-mole! :D

Installed CSP and then the track is fine, but the cockpit is very dark, including the view in all mirrors

EDIT: 0.1.61 seems to fix it!
EDIT2: I didn't realise that CM installed an older version of CSP by default

hi @Medilloni
track unlearnable (for me if i dont want to spend a week to get the curves)
Espacially for new drivers a nightmare. For me it would be nice if there are known tracks.

I think it's good to have a mix, I'd have never thought about driving Road America if it wasn't for last week's race and I now love it. I do prefer those circuits with a bit more undulation and features though, I find Sebring a bit like racing round a (currently very white and washed out) big airfield.

Sebring is a great track. Part of what I love about the RD races is the variety of tracks. I now find myself in the position of watching races on TV. F1 and others and knowing what corner is next and being better able to imagine what it is like in real life.

Everyone won't like every track, but that's the same with a lot of things in life. I didn't know ANY track until I joined RD but now feel privileged to have learned so many due to my friends like @Craig Dunkley @Medilloni @Chris Down and @Denis Betty

So from me it's a big

That was my thought the first time too. Just do the race and you will see afterwards it's not that difficult. Ok the cars may not be the easiest to learn a track :D

A simple 'like' is just not enough for this spot on post  Very well put, exactly my thoughts. I'm still learning new tracks nearly every week thanks to our amazing hosts and wondering if it will ever stop :D Sometimes I'm happy to race at Monza :roflmao:
