Popping home for lunch today in the slight hope that I may have something waiting ofrr me there ;) Mind you it's my anniversary today so out for the evening with no chance to try it out even if it is there.

Looking forward to testing out the how the wheel feels. What would you suggest is the best car to do my first test in? If I get it how I like in the open weelers am I going to need something different for the others or does one transfer to the other in this regard?

Happy Anniversary!!
Hard to say about open wheelers vs. tin tops, but my guess is yes. But I'mnot sure how your wheel will react. Too bad you can't get on, because Myself, Karl and Railer will be on again tonight I think. In any case, we will get together soon. Best of luck! Don't get frustrated with the out of the box stuff, like you said in another thread. What I did first was go to Custom Cup in SP and set up a race on my favoite track, with 20 min. practice. That way, you can adjust everything you need to right from there. (Although we all were diappointed to learn that in ONLINE Custm Cup, you cannot Practice or Qualify, or use a setup (unless you own the car). But you can choose your livery. On that note, I think I will set up our league qualifying like a very short race...we just spread out and run a couple of laps, then the next race (real) is automatically ordered by the position of the previous one.

Cheers Robert,

No joy on the game today anyway so I wouldn't be able to join in even if I was at home. Tomorrow maybe will be the arrival date now although as I am at work as is the missus it will probably be the case of just getting a unable to deliver card through the letterbox and having to go to the local delivery office to collect it which will mean not getting it until Saturday morning at the earliest and no play time until Monday evening.

Looks like my prediction of early next week is going to be about right

Well, I have played it all day.

It's just not as good as RD: Grid.

Because:
Full interiors
More Liveries
Can easily edit any part of the game
More drift tracks (trust me - go into the csv for each drift car and change max steering lock to 55 degrees and it's all of a sudden the best drift game on PC imo)
I think it looks better than Autosport, playing at 2560x1440 scaled to 1920x1080 by the gpu with enhanced ultra etc.

TOUGE lol.

Probably other things :p

The only thing it's missing is Takumi's AE86 lol.

Codies rushed out another unfinished game imo, Why, when our PCs are getting better are the games getting worse?

Got it. Love it! But........It will not hold my csw wheel save. Every time i start the game to play i have to reset all my settings. This was the same with Nascar2013. I run my wheel and pedals via separate usb cables and for some reason CM doesn't like multiple inputs. :(

Robert are you playing it on PC or Xbox ?
it shouldn't make any difference, but i have the original Grid on both platforms and the PC version had a better feel to it, plus my settings were slightly different on both platforms.

oh yeah I've got mine ordered on Steam for PC ;)

The more time I put into this "arcade game", the more I see how unfinished it is. I just loaded up F1 2013 PC, which I use with some community mods to fix Codemaster's mistakes, and what a huge difference it is. What amazes me is F1 2013 comes from the same company.

Autosport's lack of usable cockpits is inexcusable. But the complete elimination of mirrors is absolutely unacceptable.

The only thing that has impressed me are the track graphics and the lighting. Other than that, this "game" is unfinished.

It would only be acceptable if we were playing an early Alpha build. But the fact that it's a finished product is just laughable.

I seriously would love to sit with the team who worked on this project and ask them what in the world they were thinking releasing this incomplete product.

The little enjoyment I'm able to squeeze out of this game happens when I use an Xbox 360 controller. With my G27, it feels like the corners are paved with wet, mushy sand.

Guess I'm too used to Game Stock Car's incredible physics.
