The MS Wheel is the only one that appears in the control menu, so you can select it and have the default settings apply. Karl, did you try this, because I thing the FFB needs to be much higher. Mine is way up there. I have no zig zag, but you might try fooling with the linearity instead of the deadzone. What you describe needs to be smoothed out, and a deadzone will not do this but I thing your default Lin is 1. TBH, the Touring cars feel like Race Pro to me. The Fanatec does help, but other MS Wheel users said they had no issues. Also, steering saturation needs to be 100%.

I'll check this out tonight... tbh it took me a while to figure out how to change from automatic to manual sooo it's quite possible that i missed that setting.
It should detect the wheel automatically, but i'll check.

I think organized races will be a lot more fun than random online lobbies (as always). The "earning money online to buy cars for online" thing is a little offputting atm. I had no idea where or how to buy a car last night.

This is always the case, as you rightly point out. You will get used to the menu system. I spend most of my time yesterday fooling around in there. It's very deep once you get int it. We don't need to worry about the money thing. Loaner cars will work just fine, and we can even pick our team, although we can't tune a non-owned car. Karl, I already have a MINI. Just go to the RaceNet challenge section in the online section. That will get you lots of cash immediately. The higher end cars will be a problem, but no worries. Tuning is not going to make that much of a difference, like in F1. It's not deep enough. Open wheelers you have to have it I think, but nor Touring cars.

Anything new is kind of off-putting, but I think the menu layout is better than any other game I have owned. You just have to get familiar with it. On and off line are very separate. And times will be very deep and informative once you get used to them, because of RaceNet, the Leaderboard filters, and the Clubs that are as good as you are. Speaking of, you guys join the club I mentioned.

It's under "Advanced Wheel settings" in the menu. All of the F1 like adjustments are there. Besides that Advanced Wheel tag, you have one called "automatic wheel settings" or "default wheel" or something and YOUR wheel is the only one listed, but I largely stuck by that (except for maybe linearity and one other). My car is smooth as a baby's bottom on the straights and tight in the corners. I'm sure you will get there. FFB needs to be very high. When I first got on, I could hardly notice it also. Less so for open wheel.

Looking in controls/edit or mapping might help I have everything setup just like all my other games.
If your using a wheel try setting everything in vibrations to 50-60% I've never played a game that didn't induce clipping over 80% FFb so I doubt code master has broken through in that field :)
Being based on older gen tech like the 360 iam gonna assume the wheel should be set to a 270-360 degree mine is at 360 with everything currently set at 50% and for what the game is....an arcadish sim I found lightening it allowed for a lot of subtle effects to come through giving me enough information about what the cars doing.
I use a fanatec gt3 rsv2 and also used drift 1 and spring 1 on wheel
The main thing is finding a proper degree anything above 360 felt odd like someone was trying to control the car against me.
One thing that throws me off a bit is there is no tire scrubbing sound and it seems there is a delay in the skidding when it kicks in, doesn't match the FFb correctly
Granted this is soley feedback from driving the touring cars

For some reason, this game requires a lot of Force Feedback. But my preference is high anyway. People could be comfortable in your range on my setup too.

I found the magic number with the Sen setting. It's "off" so it maps the radius perfectly. With the dri and spr adjusted, it's bone straight yet responsive in the turns.

Sorry to say that, but this game is crap. Already drove few cars on few tracks. Steering and FFB (Fanatec CSR recognized as Elite in game) is far from anything accepted. It's not even "forza physics" used in arcade Horizon. It's just dull and so similar in any car/class...Graphically it's mixed, some cars looks good, meantime cities, cockpits and crowds are a real shame...Sounds works acceptable, but nothing more.
If You wish it'll offer entertainment level lets say beetwen Forza/GT or Shift 2, it's not gonna happen.

IMO nearest of fun, entertaining and well done game would be NCG, it's coming with really good ffb/physics, great audio-video and some perfect damage model.

I'd like to know as well what settings work well w/ the G27. Do I set Profiler to 900 deg? In-game, I don't see a way to set steering angle.
your right; not much adjustabilty for G27 in game......set my rotation from logitech profiler....my wheel is at 320°......in game have vibration on......70%...100% wheel weight....70% thats high i know but i like more feel to the wheel.......0 deadzone on all.....0 linearity for steering.....100% saturation on all.........anyway works for me......;-)

i have to agree with Robert.........the more i play the more i like it......G27 and shifter and pedals work good....had to turn up FF up high in game to feel right for me though......for me way better than grid 2.......same with open wheel cars in game.......the more i drive them....the more i like them...... and to be sure you can't tune cars like in other games that much and some not at all but still a lot of fun......found that most cars do well rolling through turns.....brake early, roll through, back on throttle easy.....anyway still feeling my way around in game but so far......i like it....;-)

Just tried it a bit, can't say what I think of it yet but...
It always amazes me how cheap they seem to be.
They went for the circuit exclusive way, so we can say goodbye to Grid 2 races like Hong-Kong, California, Côte d'Azur... They could have kept them in a particular mode, honestly...

They gave us San Francisco back from Grid1 but they could have added Yokohama, Shibuya, Detroit, Long Beach... so many great tracks...

Perhaps they'll do something with DLC but I don't have much hope. I'm sure they prefer to throw in a copy-paste car with random values or some liveries.

Settings that work well for me on the G27

My profiler is in Dutch but I will try to translate it properly:
Enable special settings for force feedback devices
Total strength of forces: 107%
Strength of springeffect: 0%
Strength of dampereffect: 0%

Enable Centerspring
Strength of centerspring: 0%

Enable special wheel settings
For open wheelers and prototype 270 degrees feels best and seems to match wheel in game.
For street, touring etc. 540 degrees felt good for me, but this one is subject to change.

Don't allow game to change settings.

In game:
Go to vibration
Vibration strength on 40%, anything above it just gave me to much rattling.
Wheel strength on 80%
Wheel weight on 30%

Leave the settigns in advanced wheel settings as default, they are fine how they are.

Guys,

I'm not sure if this has been shared here before but as of right now NVidia 3D does not (yet) work, even the beta drivers released ny NVidia intended to get the 3D working do not work, 1 of the glasses remains blank. On the bright side, TrackIR does work out of the box (or at least so it does in cockpit mode). I can't yet find the right entry to tweak it (it uses the default proflie) but this could be since I am still learning the UI of the TrackIR software since I only got that yesterday,

Hope this helps some of you out there
