Sorry to say that, but this game is crap. Already drove few cars on few tracks. Steering and FFB (Fanatec CSR recognized as Elite in game) is far from anything accepted. It's not even "forza physics" used in arcade Horizon. It's just dull and so similar in any car/class...Graphically it's mixed, some cars looks good, meantime cities, cockpits and crowds are a real shame...Sounds works acceptable, but nothing more.

That's soooo true...and I use T500RS ;)
I think everyone should try before buy...

I think the game is good fun.

The graphics are not like a Pcars or AC, but at least the AI gets through the first corner without crashing every race (unlike pcars):)

Siroja's no cockpit blur mod, makes the cockpit look a bit better.

The races are fun and dynamic and exciting. The AI are as agressive as online players and if you make a mistake the overtake you back.

I also like the fact that you ask your race engineer to inform you.

Good cars and tracks variation.
In my opnion every racegame should have flashback in the single player campaign

I have created my own cockpit with a working dashboard

For all eyefinity users there a very easy way to edit the FOV / camera position of all cars by editing the eyefinity_cameras_adjustments.xml in the Steam\SteamApps\common\GRID Autosport\cars\generics folder.

It also has full simvibe support for all my 8 buttkickers :D

Just started with the single player campaign on hard / all aids of racelength x2.

This game is gonna be fun for a very long time.

It's not a sim, it's simcade. With the right wheel setting this game can be very challenging and exciting.

As far as I can tell, no. But since there are no pits, there isn't much difference between running a qualifying session and running a 3 lap "race" before the first real race. We just have to spread out at start and be careful of the gaps. The game will automatically line you up in order for the next (real) race. It's actually more like real life that way...you could even have a simulated knockout qualifying with the ability to have 5 races in a row on line. Plus, it will give us extra game cash this way.
Yeah I guess so but of course that would mean no real second race. Thinking about it can you run three races so the first 3 lapper sets the grid for the first 'real' race then the third race is reversed grid of that?

Anyway, I can't believe they have done that, very strange decision.

This is all true unless you go to the on-line side. No tuning, no engineer, no qualifying, no practice, and no ability to buy cars without playing in public lobbies for thousands of hours.

But I do agree, the Singleplayer side is a blast. I hope that bodes well for league play where we can simulate qualifying, use the HUD instead of the engineer, and just suck it up with regard to the tuning.

Actually it happens after breaking while on high speeds and I found that 2 things help to counter it, it's good it's there though:

1) Try different setups for balance/aero etc.
2) Turn the wheel left/right when breaking

I think it happens in real life too anyway.

Hi,

So who has got Grid Autosport and what platform?

I am currently renting it on the Xbox 360, but will be buying it on the PC, as the graphics are better and I am not buy anymore Xbox 360 games as I have an Xbox One.

True, this setup looks massive ;) (in positive way)

As i wrote enough cons, i feel it's time for few pros. Some very nice tracks and layout, and i really appreciate some "living elements" like birds, sounds of airplanes etc. Also the flow of career with optional training or qualifaing session is well thought out.

Lancia Delta HF integrale Evo 2 at Autodromo Do Algarve.

Ariel Atom 500 V8 at Brands Hatch, short one lap race + some replay after.

Mod-edit: as asked before videos go in here http://www.racedepartment.com/gallery/albums/grid-autosport.40/

Very big con for me that the game is unfinished.

The FOV and camera postions on the cockpit cam are all screwed up.
Some cars have very different positions and i something end up have to change the cam before it's even remotely drivable (nissan s15)
