Things are moving at Codemasters
Sorry but couldn't stick with it any longer than those few laps tonight. Least enjoyable run out I've had in this game
I got on to start a Barcelona F1 practice race but when I got your invites and saw that there were only three of you I thought I would give you another body and give it a bash despite never having tried these cars. Big mistake!! Probably chose the wrong car too which didn't help but I didn't know any of them so had no clue which one was the easier to drive but suffice to say I can't jump in these without practice so lesson learnt.
I am probably going to have to miss the Monaco F1 race in a fortnight's time so may get in some track time for the next of these races instead and join you at Yas but I'll let you know nearer the time. Shift 2 may be calling me that week instead as I've not had any chance to run it since I got it other than a quick run at London
Hope the races went well.
I enjoyed the race yesterday, but I'm still going to focus more on the Gridarc Championship. I hadn't really practiced that track and car much more than when I ran with you and Railer and one other time online with a bunch of guys. But I'd like to run some Shift 2 races as long it doesn't take away from our Grid racing. Robert you looked good out front, until you over cooked it into that hairpin. I think if we had gotten some more practice I could have gotten some more speed out you I'm no expert by any means but I've had experience running the Super and Hyper cars on Street courses in Career mode. Maybe you can show me some pointers on Shift 2 as you are a bit faster than me on there. I haven't run any races online, with shift 2 so I don't know how that works, but maybe I can be enlightened.
Strange the differences of opinion on the AI in this game. Personally I love them most of the time Yes now and then they are reckless but I always find that providing I am smooth and deliberate in my movements they are fine and provide a really good challenge.
I've been racing games \ sims since the 80's so i've a pretty wide ranging experience of all types of AI over those years.
lol not having much luck with this second season are you Karl. These Indy races have been fun so it's a real shame there will be a light grid for this one.Ugh!, Not sure if i can make this race. My wife has made plans on Saturday to have a couple we haven't seen in a while over for dinner. Only hope is that they will cancel and then i can race.
The couple has two kids....6yrs and 5months, anything can happen with kids.... maybe they'll have to cancel dinner on Saturday and i'll be able to play.... that's my only hope atm.lol not having much luck with this second season are you Karl. i hate the holidays. there is too much.... it usually slows down by now, but my wife is so social, i can only stay home by myself so much, and around the holidays it's impossible to say no.Karl, am I correct in saying you are busier and things get almost too frantic over the holidays for you? You have had a busy schedule. I guess that's good, but there comes a point when I just want relatives to go away. lol. Or at least, don't come in waves! lol.
Who's wearing the racing suit in your house???... LoL, j/k I know what you mean, Karl. But my wife understands my other Mistress is Racing. It was my first love, since stepping into a go-kart age 9. It's either let me race or deal with a depressed, Grumpy Gus. Perhaps, if you make yourself unbearable when you Can't race she'll indulge you a bit more.i hate the holidays. there is too much.... it usually slows down by now, but my wife is so social, i can only stay home by myself so much, and around the holidays it's impossible to say no.
