lol I haven't disliked any posts of yours Robert... At least I don't think I have. My connection (wireless... Won't have the cable for a few days) has been an issue for the last few days so I assumed it was just me. I had a lot of fun for the time I was on, Laguna Seca was just mega, I forgot how much fun that track is to drive as it's not one I've had the chance to drive since the PC days. The corkscrew

Oh and it was definitely not you. Xbox live got nailed today about 4pm. Worldwide hit...esp. the East Coast USA.

My theory is that 360 connections and issues will increase "mysteriously" as they try to push people to next gen.

I did wonder the very same thing actually. My XBL subscription ends in a couple of weeks time and I have another year ready which was a Christmas gift so I hope thats not the case.

I don't mind running some Shift2 just for fun. I don't think I'll drop the $9 to unlock all of the Cars. But it seems pretty fun in its progression. I love to tinker with setups and would love to tune the cars for some good racing. I will be hopelessly stuck on the 360 until I can afford both a wheel and Xbone, but I'm looking forward to switching over sometime in the Summer. Depending on my tax refund it may come even sooner. What kind of leagues do they have for Forza 5??? I don't know if I'd be into the classic Japanese sports cars, but maybe some kind touring series.
Picking up the all cars dlc is well worth it. Not sure how long it will take you to get the cars we are likely running. I think the cheapest GT1 costs over $600k

I think he might have done this today. Only takes a second to download. I'd love to run Donnington, but that's in another DLC. Besides, there are so many novel and great tracks (Watkins Glen?!?! where are you?) here, will be more than busy. I just set a 1:18.8 at Willow Springs GP, and I think the best A.I. are doing a second better. That track is fast as hell. I love it...reminds me of Brands.

I didn't see Donnington in another DLC.. i'll have to check that one out then. Oh yeah if Watkins Glen was in there it would be fantastic.. Does any game have both Laguna Seca and Watkins Glen? I think Race Pro had Laguna as a dlc but not sure about the Glen.

I was half kidding Peter, I know you don't do that, and I don't either. But it was funny to see. Must have been a quick click.

Laguna is in! But you are not. lol. Oh well. Tell us which London course is best. I have picked track (9) you can hardly find anywhere else. Wheel feels great for a change, and the game immersion is wonderful. They got the car feel right. Still some flaws, but with the websites guiding us on tunes and settings, it's going to be just fine.
I rectified that erroneous dislike lol On my phone those little icons are so close together I must have hit the wrong one :whistling:

Definitely finding this game to be incredibly immersive and loving the handling of the cars. Really punishes you make mistakes and i'm finding the tracks and in particular the elevations fanstastic  This game has got some real legs on it and I can see me playing it for a long time.

I checked tonight and I already have Donnington in my game, maybe it came with the cars and tracks dlc I purchased?

EDIT: I checked what I had downloaded and it didn't come with any additional tracks so Donnington must have been there from the get-go. You sure you don't have it Robert?

Just checked the tracks list for the game and there it is:-
Donington

Got a pretty good tune for the Modern Muscle on Rustle Creek and Dakota Tri-oval. But I was wondering if we could run Toyota Irwindale Speedway instead of Hazyview. Irwindale is a real track, actually the only real oval in the game. It's still a short track but much wider and would lend itself to some good fender rubbin racing. What does everyone think?

FYI: Karl the Dodge Challenger is an easy buy with just a few races under your belt. Upgrade it up to C-999 and I can help you with the tuning. I would suggest starting with the tires and suspension first then use up whatever is left.

I guess so. My poor wheel. It seems to work ok now after it gets warmed up. I hope this doesn't mean it's about to die.

My preference would be to tack this on to another race day or cancel it entirely. I will not be able to participate if the season is extended, but I'll do whatever is best for everyone.

Next week is Shift2. Thanks Michael and Hemps for waiting and creating a room.

Agree with Michael. Maybe reduce the Indy races to two and tack them on to another race. It's not that long if we do it that way.
What we really need to do is get to the Shift2 ovals. They will be properly hard.

LoL, you are correct Robert. Actually the Ovals on Shift are quite fun and should lend themselves to good racing. I would still like to see Hazyview swapped for Toyota Irwindale, though. The wider track will allow for some two wide racing I think and it has more lines available for racing depending on how the car is set-up. Laps are still around 20 seconds though.

I would say have them all in there... Ovals are fun so why leave any out at all.

Agree that we should get the real track in but I would go further and run them all.

I'll take a look Michael. Certainly good points, and I didn't really give them a proper go. I do, however, refuse to race of on a drifting course (Irwindale?), which one of them is (you can tell by the non-rolling start) or a .5 mile oval that is fake. Those things should be left to the guys like this on Saturday night under the lights in their respective neighborhoods.

These1/2 smash 'em, 1/2 racing, former dirt tracks are simply the growing grounds for glory in a fake series. (Kidding Mike...sorta).
