Peter,
I didn't realise at turn 6 I either ran into niblips then he ran back into you after the turn. I didn't feel anything with nib just trying avoiding him since he had slowed so drastically.
Good race 2 with you. Incredible finish but no way I could go for win. Think top 3 was best I could manage with the car. Back end kept sliding around too much on the triple left hander.
No problem Railer, I know you are one of the cleanest drivers I have raced so never considered it was anything more than a lag type problem.

Really enjoyed our tussle up until you spun out at the end of lap 10/11 but you recovered well to take advantage of my error on the penultimate lap. I just didn't take into account how the car had changed over the last few laps when going round the final part of turn 8 which had been a really strong section for me all night and it got away from me otherwise I reckon the win was definitely on having done the hard part of getting past Boothy.

Sorry Peter, as i said after this race your car ghosted and i wasn't sure where you were. However, your video also shows me turning left quite sharply before that righthand turn but i did not cut over like that... strange that.

Also, i didn't realize you used the closer up cockpit view... do you find much difference btwn the that and the one that sits further back?
Same as with Railer Karl, not a problem.. raced with you too long to think it was anything other than a lag problem. Shame it effected both our races but I enjoyed it all nonetheless

Nah, Railer.. the start was the least of my concern. I spun it a couple time on my own and lost the pack. I was fast in the first race and went and messed with the setup, trying to make it better:( I tortured myself with the idea of adding a bit of downforce for that race, in hindsight that would have helped. The car was definitely a bit more "edgy" in the corners. But seriously you didn't effect my race. I only wish I could have been a bit closer to the front to see Peter take the fight to Matthew.

And Peter sorry about getting into you at the start of the first race. I tried to give the position back and nearly got ran over, lol. :p
It's fine Michael.. thanks for waiting even though it nearly killed you lol.

I would never have added downforce tbh. With tuning for my car I would have lost a bit of wing for sure.

It was a lot of fun and I could race here every week in any car. Just a track that for some reason I have always felt comfrotable at.

Managed to recover my race one video too so here or is:-

Not sure what it showed on other screens but for me there was the nudge from behind into turn 1 from Michael for which he waited to let me back past, then I got hit from behind going into turn 7, then Karl went into me as I recovered and finally Karl got punted into me hard as I recovered again :O_o: Tough first lap lol.

Wow. That was a tough first lap. After all you described, I come by after both incidents to give you a good sideswipe on the back.
Very sorry about that. I can't say that I recall making contact the first time (as it sounds like I do just after your first jumble). In fact, my video shows no contact and no sound. What is interesting is our second coming together. After I go off track, I come back of ahead of you and we approach a turn. Your video gives a slight impression that I came across your right rear as we are in the turn, but mine gives the impression that you cut across me and took my nose off. Hey, no biggie as far as I'm concerned, since we both were racing each other and I didn't hit you as I re-entered, but I'm amazed at the different impressions the videos leave. Lag? just POV? I'll try to post mine later, but I've been having trouble uploading on YouTube.

I'll get the standing up forthwith.

I don't even recall that myself but then I was a bit punch drunk by then lol Strange how bad the lag seemed to be this week as it's not something we've seen much of previously. I'll have to watch mine back for a refresher of what an eventful race it was

Race #1 - Random Start, Pace Lap (8 laps)
Race #2 - Previous Finish Start, Standing (20 laps)

Since this is a Race of Champions, there will be no qualifying. The first Race will be a sprint race that takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. The second race will line up IN THE ORDER OF FINISH from the first race and take about 30 minutes to finish, so good performance in the sprint race is rewarded. Also there will be one point awarded for the fastest lap time in the second race. The sprint race will *not* be a standing start, but each car, upon the game giving the green, will drive around the track, in the order it was placed on the grid, in single file until the leader reaches the start/finish line, which is when the leader and all other cars may accelerate. The leader must announce "green, green" (if possible) when he crosses the start/finish line to start the sprint race. There is no passing during the pace lap and pace speed is 60 mph. The second race will be from a standing start, green flag starts the race.

NOTE:
- The game will not allow pit stops
- Flashbacks will not be allowed.
- Damage will be “full”
- Collisions will be “on”
- Tuning is allowed but not upgrading.
- No Assists except for Braking Line and Auto Gears.

Lobby to open at 3:45pm U.S. Eastern and informal practice sessions may take place before, however, the race will start on time. Late drivers may join after qualifying or any race is complete. Your host will be: Robert Waddell / OctoberDusk06. Please sign up with your name and gamertag and be sure to friend request October if you are racing. Good luck!

Does anyone know how to watch replays in a TV view? When I cycle views I get the driving views and one automatic view that changes from inside the car to outside. I would like a TV view or a free look view and have seen several videos that indicate there is a way. Also is there any way to extend the replay time in the instant replay before finishing a race?

It's a bit quiet here since the last races... anyone done any practice for this one yet? Now the F1 race is done and dusted it's time to get down to some Grid Autosport action. Hopefully get some track time today or tomorrow so would be good to get a benchmark time from anoyone here.

Do we really need a pace lap again? Didn't seem to prevent any problems last time out and this is a long and more tricky lap to be poodling around at.

I was looking for Railer to get on last night. I practiced for about 2 hours and got my times around Low 2.27's to high 2.26's. I was thinking the Pace lap would be better served before the Long Race and the Sprint race should be from a standing start. I've been doing random Grid starts with the AI just to practice the Opening laps in Traffic with good results. Anyway, I may be racing here and there throughout the week. So if you want to get some laps in Peter just look for me.

Thanks for the info, always better to have something to compare to so i'll let you know my times once I get some laps down.

I am not sure of the value of the pace lap at all but thats just me. If the lap time is 2:27 at pace then it will be a long ol' pace lap lol. Also, the 60mph is just way to slow as we found at Istanbul, it's a real snails pace.
