I've had a lot of laps here. I ran three season each on F1 2010 and 2011 100% race length, and was the place of my first Sim F1 victory. I just feel like I'm leaving some speed on the table. But overall I like this track very fun to compete at.

Finished my Rig. This is what you can do with free wood and about $40.00

Everyone has their preferences, whether it's "worth it" will be based on "your" preferences.
Use Steam to help with your decision... start by reading the community threads for the game you are interested in, focusing on the "this stinks" and "this is great" threads. Review the games and hours played of the posters, many times it will explain someones opinion. Say someone says GRID AS stinks but when you look their gaming preferences, based on types of games and hours played, that will indicate if GRID AS fits their preferences (first person shooters, role players, etc.) and possibly their opinion.
I look for the opinion of gamers with the same type of preferences. If they prefer the sim racing type of games (my preference) and like GRID AS (not a sim) I would be more likely to use their opinion. In the case of GRID AS, I own it but played it very little as there are just too many good racing sim type games in my library. It can be fun for what it is.

I'll probably get some practice in tonight... what car are we supposed to be in?

fyi - Pulling a Karl is also known as "not quite closing the car door" (aka "Karling the door", or "did you just Karl the door?, or "You just Karled the door"). I use to be famous for this among my friends like 25 years ago.... Still to this day my wife uses this term LOL

How's everyone been going here guys? I had another session yesterday morning... just two 5 lap races against the AI and both were certainly a lot of fun. First one starting from 2nd was into first place by the second lap and held the lead to the flag with first 5 cars separated by just over 4 seconds. Second race started 8th (random grid) and had to fight to get through the pack, finally grabbing the lead on the last lap into turn 1 and holding it for the remainder. Certainly no let up for the AI offline, they give a really good race with very human traits at times. I think maybe the open wheel AI are better and more consistent in their racing than the sedans. Laps in the low 1:49's to low 1:50's still the order of the day.

Should be fun tonight and hope we don't get too strung out and can enjoy some drafting along the long straight.

Just noticed we are running a pace lap here.. not a fan of these in all honesty and not sure they make any difference to what can happen as they still rely on common sense being applied into the first corner, difference being that cars will be going into that corner even faster now. I'm assuming that if someone has an incident on that first lap that we just carry on? Also, If Boothy starts on pole in the random grid for the first race are we expecting the second place car to call the start seeing as he doesn't use a mic?

Had another nice ten lapper this afternoon, this track is definitely up the top of my list of fun tracks to race. Lapped within a couple of tenths every lap in the 1:49's for laps 2-9 but still one AI wouldn't leave me some lol. Won by .287 in the end.

@Karl Fuss it's a pretty easy task to get in a rhythm at so think quickly be up to speed

i just had 5 laps practice and 5 lap race starting from the back.... turn 1 and 6 are still tricky. 1:50.8 was all i could get to in practice. prob quicker with a tow, but still slowish..... should be fun if i can stop from spinning out and falling too far behind.
