Great track, always feel really at home there, even the first race with steering and suspension damage it was still great fun, especially racing with Karl in those early laps and more than happy to come home with 4th place despite the issues and not too far adrift of the leading three.

Especially enjoyed the second race though, nice racing with Railer early and thought I was on for the win after catching Boothy and holding him off for a couple of laps but just tried to take too much speed out of the final part of turn 8 on lap 19 and the back end got away from me and off I went towards the barrier but just managed to keep the nose out of it and carry on undamaged but with Railer now closing in. Tyres felt strangely as though they were going off for the last few laps and lost the backend a few times allowing Railer to close right back on me. Credit to him though for sticking close enough to me and Boothy after that spin earlier in the race to take advantage though . Down the long straight on the last lap I knew Railer was going to have a run on me and out of the final turn and down the straight we were neck and neck and he just took me at the line. Great race.

Really enjoyed being at the sharp end for a change but just wish I could have hung on for that first win as I thought tonight I had the pace for it.

Looks like you had a pretty good 2nd race Peter, racing up near the front. Peter, I got to thinking about what you said, and maybe the cars fall off as the Condition falls off. I remember you saying your Loaner was at like 70% before you started the race. My car I was able to repair, but I have over 500 miles on that car at lvl 68 that it seemed as if it fell off as the race wore on making the rears extremely slick and hard to handle. Just a theory... It may not be good to run older cars and loaners in the future unless they're required and everyone is on the same level. Loaners can't even be repaired in between races. A few Racenet challenges and you should be able to buy the car new, and even if you can't level up it would benefit you to be able to repair the car. Again this is just a theory.

My second race video:-

It seems my first race video got corrupted somehow, tried to watch it after the race but got an error message and then it just disappeared from the drive Hoping that a quick scan and repair of the drive might recover it but doubtful. Real shame as wanted to see what happened on that opening lap of the race. From memory I went into turn 7 and got hit from behind, pushing me off my line and then as I tried to turn in got hit hard again damaging my steering and suspension.

The second race was one of the best I've run but with that damage and resultant more difficult car to control the first was very close to it, only finishing a short way behind Michael.

You could well be right Michael, the car definitely deteriorated towards the end. Started that race on 73% but as you can see from my video it had almost 8,500 miles on the he clock too.

I have plenty of cash to buy the cars but just reluctant to when I can't level them up at bit you points make it more beneficial to do so. Don't know why the loaners have to be made with that disadvantage, just have the damn thing equal to everyone else's car, it's a pain enough to not have the tuning capability without the added downside of a weaker car

Race 1 - Was a fairly simple, keep crashing into the back of Michael during the parade lap, At the start he crashed into Peter, I went into him and broke my steering then buggered off into the distance.

Race 2 - Was a boring first 10 laps then checked the time saw it was fairly late so when was on a straight starting looking for a stream to watch the boxing. Once found one Peter had gone past me so set about chasing him for him to make a mistake and did through T8. After that just sailed home for the win.

Well rolling starts are a bad idea

R1 - 1st (presuming it's a race :O_o:
R2 - 1st

The alternative is first lap mayhem. There are no pits and we got banged up anyway, even moreso on the standing start. It's real simple. When the leader crosses the start/finish, the race starts. That is modified from today, which, I agree, was a bit confusing.

My pace sucked, but I was very impressed with the overall high level and closeness of everyone else. I think everyone knew this track but me :O_o:. And if you didn't Michael, great job, man. I think we have settled the "are loaners fast" question. I always suspected it was more about knowing the car, the track, and the game. (Back to Forza for me, where I can tune...lol).

I wish we had about 5-7 more laps of the second race, because it was shaping up to be a real tussle between the three fast guys...Railer (catching Peter, and even did manage to draft by with a stunning photo finish), who were both catching Boothy. Best thing is that I got it all on tape. The closest finish of the year. Maybe of any race we've ever done. Although it was for seconf place, it was still a perfectly timed shingshot move by Railer. Here you go:

I'm sure the decrease in performance is due to the wear and tear on the car, as I have actually had my steering light come on just through wear and tear along. But hell, buy a car...we have like six billion dollars laying around. What else are you going to spend it on? Besides you can sell th car back, albeit at a slight discount, when you are done. No brainer. And the tuned guys were just as fast as the non-tuned it seemed.

Managed to recover my race one video too so here or is:-

Not sure what it showed on other screens but for me there was the nudge from behind into turn 1 from Michael for which he waited to let me back past, then I got hit from behind going into turn 7, then Karl went into me as I recovered and finally Karl got punted into me hard as I recovered again :O_o: Tough first lap lol.

Peter,
I didn't realise at turn 6 I either ran into niblips then he ran back into you after the turn. I didn't feel anything with nib just trying avoiding him since he had slowed so drastically.
Good race 2 with you. Incredible finish but no way I could go for win. Think top 3 was best I could manage with the car. Back end kept sliding around too much on the triple left hander.

Race 2 Peter I think you were +10 on gearing and I was +20 what a difference it made you were able to pull away. I took my gearing for possibility of drafting and didn't want to over rev engine.
On the start I now see why Michael and me touched. It appears his rear slid over into my sidepod. I didn't realise Michael also went off track so much. When we both came back on I am guessing Michael was too close to my back end and that is why he swerved hard left and Peter was able to pass.
I hope I didn't cause any problems with your race Michael.

Nah, Railer.. the start was the least of my concern. I spun it a couple time on my own and lost the pack. I was fast in the first race and went and messed with the setup, trying to make it better:( I tortured myself with the idea of adding a bit of downforce for that race, in hindsight that would have helped. The car was definitely a bit more "edgy" in the corners. But seriously you didn't effect my race. I only wish I could have been a bit closer to the front to see Peter take the fight to Matthew.

And Peter sorry about getting into you at the start of the first race. I tried to give the position back and nearly got ran over, lol. :p

My gearing was the default 0 as I was in a loaner with no tuning options. Would have definitely changed the gearng, downforce and suspension if I could have. Great racing though

Sorry Peter, as i said after this race your car ghosted and i wasn't sure where you were. However, your video also shows me turning left quite sharply before that righthand turn but i did not cut over like that... strange that.

Also, i didn't realize you used the closer up cockpit view... do you find much difference btwn the that and the one that sits further back?
