That was the founder of the Xbox F1 league, Dylan Hember driving that car  Great memories :)

The mirrors were actually not as good as the start of that video showed, you couldn't actually use them reliably as the cars had to be right on top of you to appear properly and had a very odd look too, hence why Dylan was using the look back instead. This years are far better but just a shame they are low res.

@Matthew Booth can you beleive that was the year we were team mates in the Williams, THREE years ago .. I actually came home fourth in that race.. ahh the nostalgia of it all :inlove: lol

Yeah was good times in the Williams. Think we had a team williams area with Chris B somewhere along the line been here 3 years now seems like longer . Was trying to find in my PM's but all i found was an unfortunate video from "Walter Flugal" Which im sure @Chris Hempsall will fondly remember

Istanbul is the only reason i can use no assists. Ended up in a session with Chris B & Euan with them locked off so went about figuring my controller into a way i felt comfy and went on from there.

Grand Prix of Turkey At Istanbul Park Circuit (GP)

November 29, 2014
9pm British, 4pm EST U.S.

Race #1 - Random Start, Pace Lap (10 laps)
Race #2 - Previous Finish Start, Standing (20 laps)

Since this is a Race of Champions, there will be no qualifying. The first Race will be a sprint race that takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. The second race will line up IN THE ORDER OF FINISH from the first race and take about 40 minutes to finish, so good performance in the sprint race is rewarded. Also there will be one point awarded for the fastest lap time in the second race. The sprint race will *not* be a standing start, but each car, upon the game giving the green, will drive around the track, in the order it was placed on the grid, in single file until the leader reaches the start/finish line, which is when the leader and all other cars may accelerate. The leader must announce "green, green" when he crosses the start/finish line to start the sprint race. Failure to do so will result in a 10 second penalty. There is no passing during the pace lap and pace speed is 60 mph. The second race will be from a standing start, green flag starts the race, with a pace lap.

NOTE:
- The game will not allow pit stops
- Flashbacks will not be allowed.
- Damage will be “full”
- Collisions will be “on”
- Tuning is allowed for non-oval races; owned cars can be raced and tuned, but not upgraded.
- No Assists except for Braking Line and Auto Gears.

Lobby to open at 3:45pm U.S. Eastern and informal practice sessions may take place before, however, the race will start on time. Late drivers may join after qualifying or any race is complete. Your host will be: Robert Waddell / OctoberDusk06. Please sign up with your name and gamertag and be sure to friend request October if you are racing. Good luck!

I'm glad I joined this league, because you guys forced me to get rid of the "safety blanket" assists of this game and I think its made me a better driver, at least on GAS. I've always used the excuse of not being able to "feel" the car as a reason to utilize the assists. So Cheers to you guys!

Phew, no A.I. now. Thanks for the help last night Railer in learning the layout of the track. Seems like me and Wattsie may be the ones who have to do this. I'm going to see if it's available in TT and just run it over and over. Unlimited flashbacks there are a good way to hone particular corners not that you gave me the big picture. Sounds like we all may have similar tunes, however this car runs just as well with the base tune, it seems.

Glad you joined too Michael.
And for those with noting better to do, I'm going to host a 20 minute X 2 Istanbul race on 11/22/14 at 4:30pm EST U.S. If nobody shows, I'll race the A.I. on "very hard" myself, but feel free to be on then. If you are, I'll invite you and you can go from there. Practice races are probably the best preparation IMO.

Wouldn't have minded a run out but will only just about be finishing the Melbourne GP around then and another session would be a bit too much for one evening I'm afraid.
