F1 2012 F1 2012 Demo

Looks like we are getting a 1st from Codemaster! A demo of an F1 game 1 week prior to its release
I'm glad to hear that because I want to make sure my PC can handle it before I buy it.

I mean refresh rate in game options it just goes to 60 when every other games i have, i can put the refresh rate to 120.

Might be because this is just a demo

Its either because its a demo like Victor says with limited functionality, or the fact its a console port and therefore 120 isnt supported (cant remember if it was in 2011?)

Anyway guys, is it worth the bandwidth to DL or shall I just stick to GSC?

I got the Game Installed and still it wasn't booting when i try to execute by the .exe in steam apps folder an error named 0xc00007b appearing what should i do now??

Ye paul you could select it in both f1 2010 and 2011 maybe like what victor said it be because its the demo.
I think its worth the download its good just a bit of a pain to get the wheel setup right lol.

Try Verifying integrity of game cache right click f1 then properites then local game files.

It looks nice but feels like a wet towel. Sadly enough there is no sense of speed either and in some corners the AI look like they are glued to the road, it looks very weird.

Paul it took me 20 minutes to set my wheel, FFB, etc.

Did it every time i check the integrity a Update of 15.7 Mb was getting Updated then when i press Play button it shows a Message "Preparing to Launch F1 2012 Demo" then nothing was booting
I don't understand why this was happening

When I started the game for the first time I got a "installing DX11" message. Check for latest DX, restart steam or even PC, check in the task manager/processes if it's running.

Paul it took me 20 minutes to set my wheel, FFB, etc.

Please do share. If I can't get the wheel settings right, I may have second thoughts about the game. I did try 350 degrees for a lap and it felt better but had to head of to work (there now) so couldn't tell for sure.

Checked the task manager the F1 2012 Demo steam appears for some seconds then i can't find any Process

The OSD doesn't appear in YDT free run for me. Only the map and HUD (if I'm using a view other than cockpit).

I'm using 315 at the moment but i am going to use my settings from 2011 to see if they are any good in this game.

Well my theory behind this was that in 2011 the optimum steering angle at 180-200 degrees was about 80-90 but in 2012 it seems to be like 30-45 so doubling 180-200 to 36-400 might makes it more 60-90 in 2012.

Do you have some AV software killing it? Try turning everything off and see what happens.

2 steering dead zone, 2 brake dead zone, 10 brake sat, others are 0
profiler - 270, 105 ffb others 0. Steering sens 38%
in game ffb: 50 env 60 strenght 10 weight

OSD isnt normally visible in cockpit mode as you have the info on the wheel.
YOu can probably create an additional cockpit view which does have OSD if you want in the camera.xml files for each car.
