Australia & New Zealand

I think I might go for a one-stop strategy, seeing as Monza presumably isn't that hard on tyres, being a track with mostly straights. I will try to stay out on track as long as possible before coming in.

I have tried a one hour test run in the Viper, but sometime ago and I wasn't driving too consistently, but fuel wise one pitstop is no problem. Surprisingly, the tyre wear did become an issue if I wasn't very smooth for all laps. The front left deteriorated quite a bit and the car was quite a handful towards the end, increasing the risk of crashes. Maybe the Viper is not a typical example for the other cars, but I'd suggest you do a test to see how your tyres hold up.

I also couldn't get into Steam for quite a while, eventually got in, joined the AU/US STCC event and it was a shambles re connection problems.
I'm still having internet problems, don't know if it is associated with half the world logging into F1 coverage via Internet.

Doesn't look to promising for tonight for me.

Ditto here, fingers crossed it clears up - I'd be annoyed at wasting the prep I've put in and many of you sound as though you've put in a lot more than I've managed to find time for...hope to see you all tonight!

Very unhappy, turns out someone was spectating, I got blocked from getting in to qualify :(

Can't believe I wasted my time practising for this just to get blocked out by some idiot.

Yes, I am very unhappy and angered by this.

That sucks Richard, I saw Steam announce your arrival but then you never made it to the track...even worse, you could have had my spot had I known that I'd lose sync as I joined the grid and end up with the game telling me the race was underway with no other competitors :(

Not a good start for the RD guys, I hope we've used up the teams bad luck and Jari, Cam, Warren, Rhys and friends have a clean race without us!

Guess I may as well get on with practising for Spa now, I presume we're using the 2004 configuration? Have done a few laps previously and have a setup that goes ok there, but suffers from understeer from memory...
