Hillclimbers in a formula car all have a deathwish

Very true !

But they are also safe in the knowledge that the physics will remain consistent for the most part , that is assuming they don't go over oil, water ,leaves or the car doesn't brake lol , and that the tires for the vast majority of the time with the right set-up with bite the road nothing like any of the simulators we currently have !

I wish that guy had set his cam on his eyes with a less distorted FOV so we could get a better feel of the speed / what the driver could actually see.

physics y u no consistent?

Damp road with leaves on it ... Honestly if real life was like simulators you would have people dying every event , Probably also find that many real world drivers are simply rich people doing a hobby than highly skilled athletes that spend many hours a week training at a task , as a result they will probably bin it in ways more skilled drives would not.

I was at one of our sites about a year ago and I was outside in one of the yard huts, so I hear this sports car change down and the engine revs, then nothing, then I felt what was a thud through the ground. At first I thought the thud I felt was someone in the yard dropping a load of bricks or something. It turned out that a porsche had crashed on the road just about 50 yards away. The ground was damp and there were a lot of leaves on the road too. Just goes to show how a person in a powerful car who doesn't know how to handle it can be trouble. The guy lived, he was blooded quite bad. Apparently the car wasn't even his and he kept saying "dont call the police, don't call the police".

Hmmm. Seems we have went off topic. Hope this is not a sign that people are giving up on AC.? Not that i don't love to talk real racing myself. :) That bar was designed perfectly on that Radical!

To be honest I am beginning to getting really really mad - slowly.

We get NO information at all or at least even one new screenshot since the delayed pre-order news published September 26th. I am finally getting to a point where I really doubt that we can enjoy AC this year. I bet my ass that we have to wait longer, which is sad.

It reminds me so much about one year ago and we still wait.

AC guys if you read this - at least give us some information please.

Why do you care so much ? It will be done when its done , them saying random stuff or giving information wont get the game to you any faster.

I think they are just focusing on getting the game done , you realise there are other things you can do and that AC as good and cool as it is , is just a computer game / simulator right ?

I will teach you how to make an awesome AC pizza if you want ?

That's the challenge of hillclimb. You don't even have time to countersteer or slow down, the track is just like what feels 2 meters wide, no safety zones, no grass carpet.

And yes, I also want hillclimb in AC :)

What I don't like about those race cars is the ride height. Yes it makes them quicker, and maybe more agile and responsive, but a small stone or undulation on the track can upset the whole car... there's almost no wheel travel.

I made that climb (as any hillclimb, normally it's an open road) during a snowing night, passenger of a subaru impreza (equipped with studded tires), driven by Luca Cappellari (friend of mine, 2004 fia gt world champion ecc ecc). It's at 10 km from my home. It was "quite" funny.

Some AC news: today I'll add some ambience sounds and dolls to silverstone. :D
