Kunos said they didn't want to use Steam because they didn't like how fast they would have to release the game after they started a preorder.
I don't think you are on the same page as everyone else , I'm fairly sure kunos are still using steam given that its the leading platform for PC games If anything I would not be surprised if some of the delays are from better integrating steam.

I
don't know ...

Kunos do not "owe" us anything, but in the modern age of communication on the internet, it's good customer relations to give some updates I think.

In the modern age of
communication unless you have a specific member of staff that micro manages social media you end up with people that suffer from a lack of reasoning capacity running away with random developer twitter comments. ( not saying that's you :) )

Evan if you do spend a good amount of time managing it you still have a good % of the
community that are borderline insane and it can take massive resources to filter through the rubbish to get to legitimate consumer issues.

Kunos also to me seem like just a bunch of down to earth guys that
don't want to run things in the BS corporate way because they are largely doing there job out of enjoyment and passion as much as a "job" .

I think they could have
managed the launch better in terms of social media but at the same time they are a small company and you cannot expect them to be pro at everything or have the ability to know the exact direction of there product.

They are probably being quite now as they are working on things and don't want to give out anything that will cause the crazy people to start going off on one again.

Again we don't know , but the point is until you pay money for something don't expect anything or get to hyped about release dates , daikatana , duke nukam forever, Half life 2 , Half life episode 3 all teach that lesson , ins ome cases the game ends up ***** in others the wait was well worth it.

I didn't pay any real hard currency, but each day I pay a little trust and good natured anticipation, and I'm about all out of both now.

Well Chris I shall see you at my party ask Mr Hawkins nicely and he might take you for a spin on the dance floor.

Lets try and get back on topic / wait for actual news ;) then post and talk about that , I'm probably to blame for responding and carrying on the discussion sorry !

In the end I'm sure everyone here is just excited for AC based on the enjoyment they got and get from FVA and NKP !

All will be forgotten when AC is released. Everybody 'who ran out of patience' here will duly buy AC.

It's just a way for them to pressure Kunos with their opinion to get the game to be released. Which won't work. Done when done.

We all have our opinions, and we have the right to have them. It is unnecessary to insult the others. We all have the right to be respected. For my part, I prefer the silence of Kunos since one month than the unnecessary ads they made.
All this will be done if this game finally comes out. And then will be all happy to compete on the track!

You're right, I'll probably buy it anyway. I don't want the game released before it's ready. I just want some information.

Whilst I agree with Sebastian I do agree with Simon too that it's not necessary to make a statement in that manner. It could've been worded more friendly and keep the intended message. Just a reminder for the future.

Tom
Interesting to see a staff member agree with an inept poster with no argument, who therefore resorts to childish bullying. I'm very curious as to how you could reword that idea to make it friendly.

Calling someone an idiot and stupid needs no arguments at all to report them imo. I don't know where you live but that tone is normal for you? If so you have my condolence.

Doesn't matter who he talked to (and I don't care) as I don't feel addressed but I don't like this words so I reported it.

Simon, you might want to brush up your English, I have the idea you sometimes don't understand the message of a post.

Chris is actually agreeing with you, yet you post a slightly harsh post addressed to him.

When i am bored i read messages from this thread

Interesting way of looking at Chris post, my English might need some brushing up as well.
How is saying about someone: "an inept poster with no argument, who therefore resorts to childish bullying" agreeing with that someone?
You might want to enlight me in a private message if you feel it will pollute this thread.

Silly kunos forgot to add lighting to the new track they are working on !

How good would it be if they nail night racing , as it is I think Pcars is the only game to have the car lights and tracks look right at night. But it drives like a bag of dung so if AC can nail night racing with GT cars with awesome kunos physics that would be really special.

Replace "idiots" with "people" - all done. Although the words he was using aren't exactly nice the essence of what he was saying is indeed correct.

Yeah, mostly manipulative people that don't know how stupid they make themselves look...

Tom

Still doesn't sound friendly at all, in my opinion, but I guess knowing that someone has a negative opinion of you is better than not. I just want some info from Kunos, shouldn't have to manipulate them into giving us that. What if I told you that I feel manipulated when deadlines go by unmet without a peep from Kunos?
