All gone a bit quiet again. Does anyone know if the intention is still to have a preorder period, or if that's been shelved entirely?
I kinda hope they just drop the whole preorder idea. I don't see the purpose of it, I think making people wait the past year has been enough to get hype up, if not a bit too much. Just forget all the trouble of that, and release v1.0. What's there to gain from a preorder anyway?

I think that the additional content should be given out differently. They appear to have issues with the preorder. Why not give it to people who bought netkar? And if they needed money, why not a kick-starter? The product is so close to completion, supposedly, that the money from a preorder should have no effect. I don't want to preorder something, and then wait for months while they hold my money.

If they were still planning a preorder, hopefully they just wait until they can do it through Steam to avoid issues.

And if they needed money, why not a kick-starter?
If i'm not mistaken, Kickstarter is only possible in two countries: UK and USA. So anyone in the world can pay, but only 2 countries can receive the money.
I believe KS has no legal subsidiaries (is that the correct word?) in any of those countries, so it could be even more of a pain to do a Kickstart, than their current preorder plan.

If it's so close to completion, they won't hold your money for long, and it wouldn't inconvenience you much.
If they wait for months while they hold your money, then the preorder would have some positive effect on them.

In any case, keep in mind that early money, such as bank loans or preorders, are what most companies use in order to do business. Not using early money, usually means getting less profit. Like it or not, the development of AC (multiplayer, cars, tracks, physics, etc) directly depends on the profit they can achieve.

Also, remember that they're already at least a year behind initial estimations, which not only means we (users) are running out of saliva, but also that they could very well be starting to run out of funds. I definitely have no idea, and think it's not probable (since their business does not only depend on end-users like us, but also on other deals, with BRD or whatever), but it's an option nonetheless.

It's not like somebody is forcing you to pre-order, right?
If you don't want to pre-order, just don't do it. Simple. ;)
Well, we were just talking about if they were to have a pre-order or not. I as saying why I think they shouldn't. Not that I would not pre-order. That depends on what info they release with the pre-order. No news lately so what else do we have to talk about here?

When I see games like Total War Rome2 or kickstarter founded Takedown: Red Sabre I really can understand why Kunos&co. are delaying the PD.

It's really a better thing by far to wait more time than to get unfinished, bugged product or one with cutted part of features.

Now... it's high time to go outside for a little drive :D

Hi Aris, anything out of the ordinary happening with AC this week?
