They have people excited, but with how little we know and how long people have been waiting.

We know much more then about other titles in development (except the ones you can join alphas or betas and maybe even some of then) ... but for a game which doesn't do this open alpha beta thing.. a title which will be released when it's ready.. I think it's the title we get the most information.. of whats going on in development and of whats going on behind the scenes...
maybe thats the problem.. you never thought about getting such informations of other titles.. but because it's kind of usual for kunos you think we should get even more information ("you" meant in general (all people) not only "you")

and how long we waited?? not that long in my opinion... I remember the times in the ninetees where your read about some title. in magazines... and then years years years nothing new... and suddenly you read again about it and it was like ohhh I remember there was something cooking.. and then after 1-2 years it got released...


game and sim development takes its time... before the times startet where the AAA companies got that massively big it was usual that a given release date was never the actual release date.. I don't know any title back in that times.. which was released on schedule..


yes we are wating some time now.. and the wating is very hard.. I am also quite impatient and want to play/drive it already... I want AC more then any other title I can think of..

but we just need to wait.. we can't do anything else... speculating about things which were never said are just mirroring yourself a wrong picture of the reality...

if you don't know something of the picture of the reality.. then it's just a black or blind area in it... if you can't handle such blindness you start to speculating and develop your own thoughts what could be there... and put it on the blind areas... but that isn't the reality then.. it's a distorted view... sometimes.. such speculated things can be right or in the right direction... but often our minds just start doing to connect differend things till it got its pattern... but because every brain learned it differend (based on memories and experiences) it's quite random stuff...

I know that it's a small team and that we shouldn't be expecting to be a fly on the wall. Being such a small team though, and in the modern age of communication I would have just expected to have a little more insight on what they are up to. It's a bit pointless to compare to game releases twenty years ago in that regard.

After a few delays, just a heads up on what they are making would be nice. A video of gameplay not recorded from a phone, little things like that to show how progress is moving.

I am looking forward to this game if it gets released, but in the meantime I'm having fun with other things. Space engineers is the next game in my sights. Even though that's just an alpha release.

I suggest you ask yourself, would you rather not have had a ány communication, no tech demo, nothing. And then, when AC would be done, it would be released.

You would never have the great anticipation and expectation we have now. The build up is enormous. I mean, the build up to an orgasm can be essential . The same for a big purchase, like a computer, tv, car.. your anticipation and expectation are half the fun! . I applaud the AC team for taking us with them on their journey, and showing us the fruits of their hard labour.

The downside is the openness of internet, where everybody, even uninformed people can make big statements. In the end, I see no reason for being cross with AC. Enjoy what they show us, and be patient. At some point it will be released.

After the community was complaining and bashing about some dev videos espacially that one with the 458 in Monza i would also think about twice if i upload a video again. In my opinion i get enough infos to know what´s going on and i absorb them like a sponge. They are so small team and can´t make it right for everybody for sure, but they do a really, really good job.

I know you are here to support Kunos more than criticize , but hey, this is a forum, so I express myself anyway as I remain polite and built.
They never would officially announced date, may be making an effort , I could be patient. But whenever I play TP , it is clearly written "Coming spring 2013 ." From my point of view, it is a commitment (written and official ) . That fact that it is not as if they had nothing announced . There are guys who have upgraded their PC to AC ... So now, for me, because of this announcement in the TP, we can not say "take your time" and they can not say "it Will Be Ready When It Will Be ready" . Of course, we can tolerate a delay ( in addition , the game has been improved ) because they prepare us a dream, but after a while, enough is enough . They must remember that commitment and really consider it. Consider us. Consider also the history of this development.
I remain convinced that the Italian bureaucracy is not the only problem delaying the launch of the preorder. They could do with steam, and if the deadline imposed by steam between the preorder and the release was too short, nothing prevented us to announce the date from which we could preorder. Instead, and they are free to do so, but they put us back in the dark.
There has clearly will not reveal anything.

If they didn't do any announcement at all while they were building this game, I probably wouldn't hear of it until two years after it came out. Doing these videos isn't just for us, it does benefit them too! Especially since they are pouring all their resources into development.

I think both you and Pulley are right, sometimes it appears to me as if people are often having a problem realising that Kunos has two options:

• release it right now, half-finished - people will complain about receiving a half-finished game
• releasing it later on, finished - people will complain about receiving the game later

Either way, they'll complain. So taking the less complicated route (i.e. let people rant and ignore their rants a tiny bit) is the obvious choice.

I think that the game is finished already, because they are making new content for DLC(spa, mercedes sls,..) Physics were finished long time ago and graphics are finished. They are just fixing little bugs. Soo i think that this year in december we will get it

Why we want the presale? To launch a DEMO as is common in video game companies. And months after launch the full game.
