On the iOpener website there is a very interesting article about an upcoming World Rally Championship simulator:

World Rally Championship's next game: Racing live against rally heroes

The next generation WRC computer game will allow players to 'compete' in live rallies", states ISC chairman Neil Duncanson in the April version of SportBusiness International magazine. ISC, the global promoter of the World Rally Championship (WRC), mentions WRC's ultimate goal as building up an online gaming world championship alongside the real thing.
ISC and the computer gaming industry believe the next step in gaming is this 'live' competition between gamers and real drivers, made possible through iOpener's patented technology.
ISC CEO Simon Long says: "Now we are a global promoter, we want this to be multi-platform, multi-publisher, multi-territory."
For Long and Duncanson the new game is part of WRC's broader efforts to appeal new fans beyond the hardcore enthusiastics. FIA's chairman Max Mosley has said the virtual champion will be honoured at the WRC's annual end-of-season awards ceremony in Monaco.

Last April we already brought you the first news about iOpener Media's beta testers recruitment for their Real Time Racing project.

The news about this technology where virtual racers can compete against the real drivers on the track in real time is now spreading amoung the simracing communities.

iOpener is still looking for the worlds best simracers to join their beta test program that's about to start soon. If you are interested in joining then you can sign up on the RTR website

It`s first time i hear too about EC but i`ve searched and they do some impresive stuff, not for me though because you need some cash to buy all that equipment.
If they can deliver a better physics for this game than its a verry good thing. If it has enough interest after that, someother group or people can remake models/textures and sounds...who knows, might turn in to a modern RBR....( After this i have a target sign on me :D )

Motion blur is off could it be my harddisk? the track is loading the objects when driving?
Hm, I notice no loading during driving on my PC. How long does it take before you are on the stage after starting one? A few seconds, minutes...? The game loads pretty quickly, a lot quicker then a lot of other games. And I have WRC 3 installed on my regular hard disk, not the SSD. Do you see the game actually pause to load scenery?

... the track is loading the objects when driving?...

Thats RAM related i think.See if you have something that eats your RAM when in game, because i think you have enough RAM...or not?
I have not a single bug, error or anything. If it is something on track thats loading i didnt noticed but game runs with 50+ fps.

J van E I'm on the stage in +/- 8 seconds.
No only the game is lagging when i drive.
stuttering what i see in the videos above.

I never sow 2 identical PC to run the same so i think this should be taken systematically.
Check your PC to see if it meets the requirements.
Check your System for driver updates.
Check your load under RAM and Procesor ( off game and in game)
Turn off any other program that uses to mutch RAM or Procesor (programs that not affects OS stability)
Maybe its more but i cant think on anything else right now.
Pray to work after all this. :p

Thanx mate! i also think its is the RAM.
I have the requirements see:

My computer spec:

Win 7 Ultimate x64
Amd Athlon 2 X4 635 processor
8 gig Ram
Ati Radeon 4870 1024mb
And running Gamebooster 3

where can i check my load under RAM and Procesor?

My specs are allmost the same except RAM..i have only 4 Gb so its not the RAM,if isnt broken that is.
To see how mutch use for RAM and Processor press Ctrl + Alt + Delete
In Windows 7,this will open the log off page with 5 option.Click on " Start Task Manager "
This will open a window with a few tabs.It should be easy to click on each tab and see how your PC is doing.
To see RAM and Processor use click on "Performance" tab.
To see witch program uses more RAM or Processor click on "Processes"
On the other hand,if you have no idea on what to do once in there i strongly sugest you dont mess with the processes or anything you dont know.

That is impresive...after those two videos, the game might atract some more people in to it.If EC get it done properly and they change everything, than we can say the succes of the game will be because of EC and not Milestone. But to make this game a real competitor for RBR the Physics, sounds and car models must be perfectly made,or remake better say as i sow a video that shows some wierd difference in car models inside than real ones and it is realy disturbing if so...
I`ve made a video too....on hood view it has a verry nice sence of speed than cockpit view.

Nice mate, you look to be enjoying it aswell. I really like this game for some reason and am excited at what modding can bring. I have just switched to bonnet and prefer it for once. The one thing i hate in this game is the cockpits and the way it all moves around like SHIFT, even turning off look to the apex doesn't seem to change it enough for me. But man this game is very fun. I needed a game like this for ages. I do my serious sims with rF2 etc, but now and then it's cool just to relax and race and this is perfect for me.

O, and btw I ONLY play single rallies and stages: I looked at that Road to Glory once and decided to forget about it completely. Not my kind of thing. I am glad I can drive single stages, single rallies and even a complete customizable championship without any other crap: that's what I bought this game for!
Same for me tbh, i took a look and see medals and cheesy pictures and got out of there quickly, not for me. Happy just using the WRC part. Also the WRC cars feel so so much better than the rest. Are there any Group B cars in this title, not seen any yet?

Yes of course i like,it has what SIM like GTR and rF doesnt have.I`ll play for fun aswell and for that feeling i miss with other SIM`s.
Lets see what will come next but i sure dont let the dust cover this game.

I finished my WRC 3 Rally Stage Guide! It (simply) shows you the basic information of every rally stage but most importantly how all stages in one location relate to each other. See the pdf (in the zip) for more information.

Let me know when you find big mistakes! I will only post the link on this forum for now (and on a Dutch forum) until I am sure everything is okay.

Enjoy.
Awesome

Has anyone here played this on both xbox & PC with a wheel?

Its just that i have the Turbo S and on the xbox the the FFB is really good (appart from Germany), but with the same wheel and settings the FFB on the PC version is crap. i would have expected it to be the other way round.
