My issue lies more with the throttle to be honest Andrew... Out of the slow turns of Fuji, I apply a bit and it's seems to be already enough to turn me around. Not that I can't apply it properly, it just seems like there is a very small travel.

1) I applied throttle and brake after I loaded my controller settings.
2) Lol no. It was the default setup, I am sure it doesn't have 100%?
3) After 5 laps? And as I said: The throttle doesn't need warming up:p
4) Jabbing? I know I am sitting on an office chair with a wheelstand, but even in rF1, it wasn't as bad as now. I had much more travel which made the dosing easier.
5) Could be. But with such a low amount of travel, you'll lock up nearly straight anyway.
6) True.

Gonna check brakes though. But it has to do with throttle, too.

@Dino Paolini Yep, saw that but wasn't sure if it's the same.

When I raced the Meganes at GPVWC, I had to apply the minimum further back because my brakes kept sticking. I used contact spray, now I hope it doesn't happen. Which way of sensitivity is actually extending the pedal travel?

Btw: I am really afraid of cockpit view. I can drive much more safely with the tv cam:cry: We don't have to be FSR, do we?

@David Jundt...sorry, I didn't realise you just meant throttle. this game is very sensitive with throttle. if it is that bad then you could reduce the sensitivity. I don't know if this would slow you down as it's not linear tho...maybe someone else can tell you. better still, a day before a race, only play rfactor 2 and find the level of throttle grip...in games like AC you can literally just slam throttle down but in real life, I can't imagine doing that in an open wheeler, can you? I remember watching an English children's programme called Blue Peter as a kid. Some guy got the chance to drive an f1 car...he was getting wheel spin at high speed. rfactor 2 teachers you better throttle control in my opinion.

I don't slam the throttle in rF1 either. But imo if I only use half the pedal and I am already getting full acceleration+wheel spin, then I think that the pedal travel is wrong. For both pedals.

yeah, I know what you mean. I felt exactly like that when I first bought the game. kept spinning out. however, I could be completely wrong, but with high powered cars, I think you can get wheel spin on limited throttle...like I say, you can just change the linearity on the controls if you don't feel you can adapt....so just play with it.

This is how I got my skin to work

In game I chose the number 31 car, boot up single player click on vehicle then tuning and create dir button, quit the game and find the FR35_31 folder in your settings/FR3.5 folder, delete the alt.dds file, put <your name>.dds in the folder and rename it alt.dds

boot up single player, click vehicle then tuning then click the arrow where it says varients so it says alt and you should see your skin, when I went back to main menu I could only see original skin but when in game its your new skin, I just went on server and it worked on there ok.

I hope everyone has had sufficient practice, the driving in the Clio's was bad enough with some people turning up 30 minutes before the race to do their first laps, goes without saying these things are no where near as forgiving.

Fingers crossed we have a great race

A bit disappointed to be typing right now.

I just got a last minute call to jump in today and the setup was very diffrent to what I tested. Only had time for 5 laps on race fuel before qualy and struggled to keep it together. Qualy was good P5 (just 0.002 seconds behind P4).

Race 1:
Brilliant start was immediately behind P1 on the inside, but couldn't fend off Dino into T1. After that I tried to chase Dino, but I still suck in S3 and had David G on my gearbox. Went to the insode into T1 and spun it on the exit, but way clear of everyone.
Found myself back into P11 after some overtakes and cars spinning finished P6, which was probably the best I could have done today.

Race 2:
Was really looking forward to it. A guys behind me in Race 1 were really slower than me. Again did a brilliant start from P10 into P6 or P5. After chasing two cars for 2 or 3 laps. I was starting to go alongside, because I had a better exit, but the car in front spun on the exit and hit my front right suspension.
After that I had a spin due to the damaged suspension. I was trying to fight back and then another car did the same thing in another corner. After that my car was really ruined and crashed out myself at least without taking someone off.

Was a bit of shame I could have made a podium in race 2 and was really taking no risks at all, but you cant calculate a car just spinning on its own :(

Still a lot of fun and a real challenge to jump in on short notice and at least secured some valuable points for the team in race1 :)

Nice racing, Just missed out to Andrew ford for p7 in race1 had to settle for 8th, last lap pass
Second race starting p8 could be a good result, but turn 1 i already lost 3 places. Then a spin didnt help either, had to come back trow the field to p6 what iam happy about after those issues.

sorry for rapid exit server but wanted to be shure that i still had both of those replays.
Think one more reset of the server the replay of race 1 gone would be gone , but luckely still have them both.
Tx to all team for the clean driving, tx ian and all others who involved for all the hard work, looking forward to the next one :)

I'm off to bed, had great fun and there was a lot of great driving and am pleased with how it went:),
unfortunatly I wasn't driving to well and want to apologies to the guys in the first race, I will be investigated and will get a penalty.
Tomorrow evening I will post a more detailed report of my race

Thanks all for the great race!

Sorry Frederic, the first car was me. And my rear left suspension was badly damaged aswell.

At least I crawled to the finish in P12, 5 laps down. But after my pedal problems, I might need a new G27 unit:(

@Martin Bulgin I can see the G27 in my windows device. What now?
I have my pedals on a seperate controller to my wheel so it might be a bit different on yours but right click on the g27 icon and click on controller settings and properties and you should be able to calibrate pedals
