Misc True to Life AI 2013 Season 1.4

Hello I installed everything here with the2013 Season Mod mod ,but now was my Carrer file broken and thats not the problem ,I cant finish the Young Drivers Test at the first day , beacuse ,my car is too slow when I have to drive 298 and brake in the red marking (I think thats because the cars are fixed and made more realistic / slower ).
How can I insert my savegame again or pass this problem ?

...check the overview page. The section on the CTF files.

As for your savegame - hopefully you had it backed up. But no matter what, you'll need to start a new career. This is because the database from my mod is different than your database. The database and your savegame work closely together, and if they don't line up correctly, then the game says "well it can't be me, so it must be you" and declares your savegame as corrupt. This is because of ID changes within the database.

So no matter what, you'll need to start a new Career. This is also discussed at the bottom of the overview page...so again, I suggest you read through the overview page - it'll answer a lot of your questions.

To stethnumbers, why does engine wear not carry over from one race to another, I use engine one and it does wear, but when I get to the next raceweekend it goes back to 100%? Please help

You're talking about in Career mode right? I believe the team rotates engines throughout the race calendar. I'm at Suzuka right now in my career and I have a few engines that are worn to around 90% or so. So for you, you wear one engine a bit and the next weekend your engineers give you a new, fresh engine.
If you go to your car setup screen, into the engine setup screen, along the top you'll see the engine selections. You can scroll through them to see which engines are worn and by how much. So go check and see if you have some 100% engines, and some worn engines.
 
Good work on the True AI but i do have a question ( i dont know if as been asked) I got Vitek 2013 mod and I install the 2013 folder but can you explay why there is a 50% database and a 100% whats the difference??

Check the overview page, but those are for scaled tyre wear. So if you only do 50% races or lower, use the 50% database so that you have more than 1 stop in a 50% race ;)
If you use the 50% database, be sure not to do 100% races - the AI will never pit.

Great mod. Here's a results screen of a nice race.

I was wondering if you could increase the tyre wear rate? The tyres don't seem to wear as quick as the pit stop schedule seems to suggest.

Regarding tyre wear: the tyre longevity is set the way it is because if they wear any faster, or last any shorter, you wind up with races where you're using the softs to start, but are forced to use the hard compound to make the race distance. So the way the tyres are set to wear now results in some races where you'll actually need to force a 2 stop strategy despite being put on a 3 stop.

For instance I did a 50% race on Legend at Canada earlier today. The game put me on a 3 stop strategy: super soft to start, medium, medium, super soft. I start racing and come lap 5 when I'm supposed to pit, my race engineer comes on saying Vettel is going to pit in a couple laps. So I stay out and pit on lap 7 with Vettel...laps later I found the AI is on a 2 stop strategy: super soft, medium, medium.
So I adjust and race on their strategy, and barely held off Vettel at the end of the race with a 0.6 second lead.
So some races you'll pit according to schedule, and some you'll need to adjust in order to stay competitive ;)

However, if you really want to increase tyre wear:
Open the database.bin file located at F1 2012\Database
Find the "tyres" table and adjust the max_distance values for each compound. Don't go too much lower than my values though, or the AI will not be able to make it to the end of the race, and will never pit.
To confirm you're not setting the values too low, you can do a quick, race only event and check the race strategy screen. if no pitstops are scheduled, you've set the tyre compounds too low.

Hey, sorry to bother you but do you really have to edit the database.bin ? Because, i downloaded your mod yesterday, and when i remplace your database, my game crashes. i have the f1 2012 logo, black screen, and the game goes back to windows. It work with ai, cars.. but it doesn't work with 50% database and neither with the 100% database. (Sorry for my english btw) It crashes only when i remplace the database.bin

I had the exact same problem to begin with. Might have just been some mods clashing, or a wrong install. All I did was re-install the game and then re-install the mod in the correct order and everything worked out just fine :)

There may be an easier solution, I'm honestly not sure though, sorry.

Well, the game is still crashing without the no rain mod.
I just drag and drop the 50% database in the database folder first.
Then did the same for ai, cars... I just drop them in the f1 2012 folder.

Okay, next thing to do is try the game with no mods installed at all. If it still crashes with no mods, you'll be missing a file somewhere perhaps.
