Ah must have missed that, sorry. Yes I'm running Mr. Pibb's 2013 and your increased tyre wear database so that will account for that then. I'll just have to drive quicker. I can live with it considering the other improvements far outweigh this minor bug.

Yea, I didn't deserve the penalty, Chilton was exiting the pit lane and just came across me, as I like to play without flashbacks I had to take it on the chin, an all too common occurrence.

Enjoyed Melbourne, was quick on the options but had to defend like crazy on the primes to hold for a 7th place finish starting from 19th. Exciting race, constantly defending against Perez towards the end.

For info I race on Pro and was able to do around a high 1.28's in qualifying, but race pace was a little worse, my best was low 1:30's. I'll do 25% races for season 1 before switching to a better team and increasing to 50%.

Thanks :D

Quick status update regarding version 1.6

I've corrected an issue where Caterham and Marussia cars were notably slower than the remainder of the field (sometimes by over 2 seconds to the next highest placed car in qualifying). I'm waiting until after the Chinese GP qualifying tonight so I can finalize the ai_driver table in the database to most closely reflect real life performance of the teams and drivers.

Thanks to Blakx for pointing this out to me

From the overview page of this mod:

Other mods included with the database:
90 Flashbacks
Safety Car Mod values (as listed above)
Values from Mr Pibb's 2013 database (for graphics)
--> All teams available after 1st career season (I haven't finished my 1st career season yet since I've been busy modding & testing, so this is not yet confirmed to be working...but it should. Haven't found the way to have all teams available after the Young Driver's Test though. Input on this would be appreciated) <--

So like I said, I believe I've set it so that the following should happen:
Complete Young Driver's Test
Start Season 1 with teams like Williams or the other lower teams.
Once Season 1 is over you should be able to choose from any team. But, I haven't completed Season 1 yet of my Career so I cannot confirm this yet. However, based on what I saw from the other databases that claim to have all teams available, I think what I did should work.

What it boils down to is that I think you must complete Season 1 in order for the other teams to notice you...which, hey, is more like real life since Ferrari or Red Bull isn't going to hire a driver straight out of the Young Driver's Test :p

Unless someone knows how to have all teams available after the Young Driver's Test, I believe this is the only way to have the top teams notice you earlier.

I hope that helped
You wrote that all teams are avaliable, when they aren't?I just tried myself and there were only marussia, catherham, toro rosso, williams,Force india like normally.I installed Mr pibb's mod without database, then yours, then SC mod, then Competitive braking mod, then Mechanical failures and problems mod and i can't choose the top teams?

Did you finish the first Career season?
All teams are not available after the Young Driver's Test. I haven't been able to figure out how to make all teams available directly after the Young Driver's Test.

Demy knows ask him.I didn't know i could only choose them after Season 1.

Hey, thanks for the time and effort you've put into this mod, there are some pretty noticeable improvements when this mod is combined with others.

One of my problems with the AI that still persists is that when you're going into a fast corner side by side with them (a corner with a large radius) they back out whether they are on the inside or the outside. Eg, the fast right corner after the hairpin at suzuka. Anything that can be done about this?

One question, does this mean that every team wil give me offer in career even if i do bad?(which won't happen cause i'm very good:D),but did you mean this?

...why doesn't anyone read?
Check the overview page in the database.bin section. I haven't completed my first career season so I don't know yet. The changes I made should make all teams give you an offer after Career season 1.

It's a known, frustrating, issue that no one has been able to correct yet. I think the idea of preserving the car, rather than risking a spin/collision through a high speed turn outweighs the prospect of gaining a position for the AI...that's just my speculation though.

Sorry, i was working and i'm quite tired now.
By the way just got time to test melbourne, and i'm pretty satisfied with the qualy so far.The ai is strong is legend.Alonso was second with 1:25:3 with softs and i was first with 1:24:7 in Force India, so so far i'm satisfied with the result, the drivers were where they had to be:) except hamilton who qualified 10. which is strange but whatever.

snthennumbers updated True to Life AI (A fully revamped Realism Mod for F1 2012 & 2013) with a new update entry:

Minor updates & Chinese GP stats

AI:
Corrected an issue where I accidentally deleted the <BehaviourTestDraft bool="false" /> parameter in the ai_driver_config.xml file under the <behaviourTestForAssist> section. This doesn't appear to have any impact on AI performance however.

Database:
Adjusted mechanical failure rate slightly for Legend and Expert difficulties in an effort to have a more realistic DNF...

That's unfortunate, can be a real immersion breaker. Another question, I've been using the 'Insane legend AI' mod which edits the files inside the 'balanced' folder of 'cars'. How have these files been edited since I noticed your mod edits them as well. Should I be using your files instead?

Yes, use my CTF files otherwise you'll have a mismatch in gearing, aerodynamics, and grip levels between the Player's car and the AI's car.
