But you don't have to play with his database. I still use Demy realism 2012 database and took only the ai-driver- config from the true ai mod and that's great. Demy did a good job with the ai files but Sthenumber really improve it i think. So you could just use the ai files you need.
 
I don't like the idea of having all the teams available after the first season as I like to have a more natural/realistic progression to the top.

Remember that you don't have to choose one of the higher tier'd teams, even if they are available. I included this aspect so this mod would appeal to the most people. You're always welcome to take your own career path despite what is presented to you in the game ;)

GUISEPE remember that if you have Mr. Pibb's 2013 mod installed, you'll want my database installed, otherwise the driver's performance won't match to real life (aka Perez will be lightning quick, Hamilton will be slow, etc etc...) But if you're still running in the 2012 season, yes you are correct, don't use my database.
 
To everyone:
Are there any more tracks where the Player seems much faster than the AI?

I was thinking Malaysia might need a little adjustment, but I'm still looking for feedback on tracks where you find you're blowing away the AI seemingly for no good reason.

Any input would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

Hi, im pretty confused on where to put the AI files, should I just put the AI folder in f1 2012 game or should it go some where else within the F1 2012 folder??

Extract my "ai" folder from the zip file
Open my "ai" folder, copy all the files in it.
Browse to where you installed F1 2012 and go into the "ai" folder there.
Paste my files, saying yes to any questions about overwriting files.

Ah ha! Someone else is using a file comparison tool I see :)

That's my mistake, a while back I'd played with all those parameters towards the bottom of the ai_driver_config.xml file and I must have missed putting that one back in place. I don't think it's doing anything since it's a "test" parameter, but I could be wrong. Good find!

I'll test to be sure, and correct that for version 1.6 along with adjusting DNF rate for the AI as the current DNF rate in this mod is just a little low in my opinion.

I'll pose the question again to everyone while I'm posting here since no one's answered me yet:
Are there any other tracks you've found where the Player is notably faster than the AI seemingly for no reason? Aside from the tracks listed under the CTF section in the overview page, I was thinking Malaysia might need a small tweak. Your opinions are welcome!
 
Not to be a complete asshole, but you need to read a bit before posting ;)
This is a known issue with the CTF files. Check page 4 of this discussion, it has been covered there already :)

The only track that maybe need an ai upgrade is bahrein, at least for me, but maybe it's just becausen i like this track and i've got a good setup. Otherwise, i don't see another track needing an ai upgrade. You talk about Malaysian gp, i don't know for this track, i was quick but i worked a lot with the setup...

I'll check out Bahrain, thanks. I'll try another couple of races at Malaysia to be sure it's not just me :p
 
No I agree ;) Malaysia AI is a bit slow.

Also the overall AI in Monaco is not slow but the AI always defends at Turn 12 which is pointless (nearly no chance to overtake). They lose a lot of time there and slow the cars behind down.
