There is an effort to standardize some of these actuators or kits to be able to list a price for them with shopping cart etc, but it would be on another website for that. The current website is more like show room to show some of the products...

That's understandable and it's great that Shao can tailor orders for each and every need. Maybe in the future he might consider an upfront price on the site for the most common kits such as the 4dof.

I won't even try to guess how much the kit in your picture would cost

The momentary push button seems to be wired to the e-stop in parallel. Does a momentary closing of that red and orange wire activate park but when its kept closed by e-stop it knows its emergency and shuts off ?

Yes, monetarily press the button and will switch between Park and Standby positions. Hold the switch closed for more than 800ms and it will activate the emergency stop (kill enable signals from the servos).

I wonder if Shao would be able to source fully shielded cabling? Perhaps directly from the motor manufacturer or even a specialist cabling company? I know that would add extra expense to each build but could be worthwhile looking into if it hasn't already.

I know that Tomo from Sim Racing Bay transitioned to supplying fully shielded cables for both motor and encoder with the osw servos.

Guys you could further use expandable cable sheathing over this. It comes in various forms/sizes and colours.

can't they print a cable cover over the motor and use the same thick cable as D-Box?
And get rid off the connectors
