done just over a year ago.
.. and still working VERY WELL :)

I have T500RS v5 ver ;) and when I open the base...
i decide to change genuine cooling fan :)

I saw some people advice Akasa fan 60 x 60 x 20 on gtplanet
but I prefer my own choice 5mm bigger and better quality as well ;)

I used Noctua fan which is TOP quality product
and cost £10.99 only :) !!!

Cheers for the mod shots and message. I've actually had that Noctua fan in my amazon basket for the last week but apart from being mad busy I've been looking for an adapter for the cable to match the 2 pin on the T500rs after one of the guys on the GT Planet forum said you needed one. Is it necessary to have it? Cheers man.

PS: Also ordered that shifter knob you showed. Should be arriving this week. Nice one for the heads up.

You will be happy again :)

U don't need any cable to match the 2 pin :D

Just cut yellow wire ;) remove and swap with genuine connection :)

Just a shout out for Remik for his help in getting my new shifter knob. Cheers man. I've mated it with a new 7 speed short shift brushed aluminium shifter plate from Patrick in RightOnGates which is a seriously quality piece of kit (scratches easily though so be careful).

Thought I'd throw up a few shots of the TH8rs on my table rather than the wheelstand.

Just regards piecing it all together as the shift knob obviously isn't meant for a TH8RS I drilled out the top of one of the plastic adapters that came with the shift knob and mounted it from the base of the TH8rs shaft and pushed it up.

I used sticky pads from a €1 sheet at the top of the shaft and then finished it off with a 3/8 camera adapter which fits over the top of the original shaft perfectly and also happens to be the exact internal diameter of the inside of the knob casing so its perfectly stable. No wobble.

Can i use Sugru to fill it?
What is your camera adapter ? How much cost?

I dont see any reason why you couldn't use Sugru on it. I had the pads handy and they were cheap so I went with that. The adapter came with a magic arm to mount a camera which I am mounting to my Aeron chair to do some videos. The ebay listing I got it from is here.

Its the circular ring in the middle of the 5 in the pics. The other 2 to the right are too small to fit. Sorry if thats not very clear. I'm thick when it comes to the naming of camera hardware. I reckon they shouldn't cost more than a couple of euro if bought individually.

Tanks a lot!

Little update on John's rig. The build is all done just need to play with the PID setting's on these new motor's. Ill have more complete pics next time i swing by.

ive Also gotten my Seat belts all sorted out with some spring tension. Im rather happy with it so far.

Yeah sure that is a plus as well, especially if you want some nice rubber later on. However, when you already own a formula version I wouldn't be able to justify that extra 70 euro's or so. I bought it new and figured what the heck, I plan on using it for quite some time until I can afford a servo-drive system anyway.

"Cheap" is relative :D
