For the first 6 laps or so, I kept overshooting the entry of T3 and was struggling to find my pace. But after Glenn passed me again, I pulled myself together and had a nice fight with him where we stayed very close for several laps. I mistakenly thought I might have hit him as he spun out at the end of start finish, so I waited for him to get in front of me again.

Good racing, Frank. After I spun, I was surprised you didn't pass me. I figured you went off, too. Fun stuff...

Didn't set tires on track until an hour before race.:bulgy-eyes:
Again, I was just looking to finish and stay out of trouble. I did finish, but not without troubles. The last turn of the pace lap was a mess. Someone came to a stop and caused a chain reaction. I ran into the back of Andrew and someone ran into me. By the way, Andrew, you were supposed to be behind me on the pace lap. :fwd2:

Finished 13th - happy to cross the finish line.

I have a big problem:

I succeeded in exchanging my pseudo in the classification (I had put my name before my forename) Before the race. Therefore I have change my pseudo in game, and it was an error: I am not any more in the classification.

So, i'm sorry (this system is to complicate for me)...

After pitting, I had David Buxton of my tail until the finish. He could never quite catch me, but were close enough the whole time that I got pretty stressed trying to stay consistent.

I would close on you through sector 1, sector 2 you would pull away and then in the final sector we'd stay the say :lol:

It was all about being consistant in the end :thumb:

Come lap 38 with 2 laps to go (thanks Ben) I realised there was no point pushing as I was happy to finish.
Made sure our times stayed close though just incase you got out of shape a bit :nod:
That just never happened :giggle:

Let's see what happens at the next one :wink:

Qualifying (5th)

I’m not a fan of the super pole qualifying system, but I do agree that it is one way of quickly (without incidents) getting rid of the “qualifying problem”. Anyway although far from a perfect lap it was my fastest lap ever to that track (1.17.888) and good enough for 5th place on the grid.


Race (5th)

My race started in a funny (not) way; as the red went off and I was slowly moving away, got a strong bump from behind. Luckily no big damage came out of it but I have to admit that for a split second I saw my racing chances going backwards...
The race got underway; I immediately start to lose ground at about ½ second a lap to the 4 front BMW but keeping 6th to 8th near my back. I knew that either A. Löffler (another BMW) or P.Eriksson (an Alfa) had a race pace very similar to mine so I prepared myself for a long race with them very close by.
Unfortunately, one by one they all did small but time costly mistakes (too much power too soon exiting turn 3) leaving me alone for most of the race with over 5 seconds to 6th.
The pit stop went well, manage to gain sometime with it and as such my 2nd part of the race started easily. As I had an early morning I was having difficulty to concentrate racing all alone and did some small mistakes (small exits, 1 or 2 seconds lost each). On top of that I was a bit unlucky regarding giving a lap to other racers, as I caught most of them in the chicane area (single line zone) meaning about 1 second lost each overtake.
In a way. the end result wasn’t bad either, both 6th & 7th (M. Wrightson & J. Vinnari) caught up with me so my end of the race got a surge of intention and kept me in check until the very end. I knew without a mistake of my part it was impossible for any of them to overtake me in this track so did tight lines and avoided to overstress my worn-out tyres.
Funny enough on the very last lap I went a little bit off-line and the distance to 6th came down to under .2 of a second giving that extra thrill on the very end of the last lap. Could keep it together to the finish, come 5th more-or less in my usual spot behind a big part of the BMW armada.


As in Barcelona, the team result didn’t go that well as again only one of us brought points home after a small but unfortunately terminal damaging mistake on my team mate 1st race (like someone typed there were a few points on the circuit where an impact implied immediate engine kill).

Man, I was in bad condition yesterday. I thought I would miss the race due to my other plans for the day, but I was home early enough to take care of everything, albeit dead tired. I had no practise as I hadn't planned to be there, but fortunately I still had a setup in a dusty corner from my pre-season tests. It was quite ok and I managed to be consistent with it. Consistently slow that is...

Qualified in 15th position about 2 seconds behind the pole (bleh). Bad position though there seemed to be oppertunities to climb up. So I did, even though a lag spike on Jamie's car (I think) bumped me off and cost me one position. By the time of my pitstop I was in 14th position with chances of joining the battle for 10th. Unfortunately I took off the limiter too early and had to come back in again. It costs me my chances, though 14th was still mine. Towards the end of the race I caught up with Mikeal, who was struggling it seemed. I took advantage of Rami lapping us and passed Mik in a quite exciting manoeuvre. So 13th it was. Not a good results, but at least I got some points to show for it.

Time to get ready for Estoril.

Was a bit hopefull of a better race, especially when driving earlier this week on ober.. in the gtpro Audi.


Lost my appetite in racing when i got hit by someone when i got a lap. No sorry, nothing.

Even when there is a fight/race goiing on i think there should be some careness. Thats also racing, wait for a good moment.

Think i gave lots of space to everyone lapping me, for as far the track let it.


Now i dont no who did it, my replays are on off position, want to have my processor do all the work for only the race and motec.


But i will turn my replays on since it happens more in races, that luckely only a few drivers have no respect.

QUAL ;3 TH 1.18.7xx

RACE;3 th formation lap was ok but we lost Johan .... i was 2 th .
first 5 laps was good but was losing already from ben he was just to fast so i was focusing on doing best i can :)with no mistake and consistence.

laps 6 T2 well i forgot to downshift to second gear ... i was on third it make me go wide touch de grass boom spin in to the middle of the track ...i did good job to not move the car till few ppl past me as you can see from this picture lost 4 position back to 6 th Oo

back to race mtommi tam and nisse anderson was close to i managed to get closer then laps 12 i was getting close to tam i lost abit control cause of the bump on thios turn .lost few seconds but no positon ,

then was getting close again to tam then he decide to pit laps 21,i went pit laps 23, same time as my teamate Dan i think i did really good on pit i gain so much time form few ppl .

after pitting i saw i did pass tam and nisse,was following my teamate he was 3 th i was 4 th ,laps 26 we both did little mistake i mist turn on last chicane then dan spin last turn ,then i was 3 th ,then i saw i was 12 sec from philip,10 laps to go ,then lap 32 philip when off track t2 you got really lucky lol to not hit micheal after that i was 2 sec i think from phil i was getting close and car felt really good i did minor mistake i lost 1 sec again from philip .close fight philip awesome gj .

really enjoy this race ,track was hard to not make mistake and overtake ppl to was not easy ,mostly the car felt awesome to drive was really happy about the setup:).with Dan help to:)

I'm sorry you had a bad day, but the fact that he didn't say sorry is a good thing. No form of chat is allowed during the race, and I for one get distracted by it. Drivers can say sorry after the race.

I am sorry to read that. But that should not happen and is worth a race incident as well. When you are lapped you are not supposed to jump out of the way directly, there are simple areas where lapping is bad, I usually wait until i leave a corner, make space and accelerate slower than usually.

That could have been me, I did hit a backmarker but didn't think it was you. I did say sorry to who ever it was.

I think you did well Freddie. I had to pass you 3 times and I have to admit that the first time, I nearly punted you when you slowed for the chicane that I take flat :shock: The other times I caught you in exactly the same place and you let me by on the straight afterwards, no problem.

I also had a close call with another car in T4, I was approaching a bit more cautiously, but still nearly crashed into him as he was a lot slower than I expected there. Otherwise, everyone I lapped was really good.

Quali: P2 with 1.17.4xx(really happy with tath, -0.1 from Duivelaar P1)

Race: tath was a other things loool...

i know im "slower" in race, i have difficult to find concentration, and if i find it, i fail to keep it, because i still in all lap to tell for pit stop, gap, etc etc looool

but but... from lap 1 to lap32 i think i was 2nd, some laps before, i have loosing really much time with a "laped" guy, two times with the same guy i think( no blue flag????o_O) and i see Rami coming back tenth after tenth, but still not much laps, i was thinking to try to keep gap, but cant... and do a little mistake, loose P2... :/

P3 for me with 17sec from P1, 3sec fromP2, 20sec before P4...

i well very happy for my first race in the TBR colors!!!!
