Been on the server most of this afternoon and slowly but surely getting the car stable and slightly faster, too be honest I can't wait until the race. I totally love the touring cars (been an oval racer for 5yrs) , its the turning right that I can't get me head round :wink2:

Glenn, when I've finished my setup (nearly there) I'll send it too you , thats if I can figure out where its saved too. Guys , feel free to let me know which folder setups are saved too.

Results Round 1 on GPCOS!
GPCOS has been fixed and the results are up. Check out GPCOS to see the results and standings as per Round 1.

Thats to bad, seems like a total melt down of my computer.

Total loss of power, during the starting lap (2). So have to check my system now.

During practice and qua. no problems. thats making it worse.

And here we are again. Lap 28: complete freeze !!!

Trained good, qualy went awesome (P3 & PB) and the first laps of the race i was cruising behind Marcin. So far so good!

Smoking kills they say? TRUE!!! Lighted a cigarette on the straight, and all you guys that are smokers, don't laugh as it happened to you in the past as well.!!

I was taking a deep inhale, wanted to put the cigarette back in the ashtray and it kept sticking on my damn lips lol!! Burned my hand and the burning spliff fell on my chair!! (i forgot to mention that i already reached T1) and i dove into the gravel trap where ofcourse my engine stalled and i lost like 15 positions before i had it running again.

Had a huge fight with Mehmet Arslan and after a great pitstop i was up to speed again on my way to P9!

And then the freeze came

Bram i've had it happen to me in Mini events in the past.
Its annoying, but if you hold out most of the time it comes back.

Doesnt come back with me here, i have let it running for over 2 minutes so my race was already wasted (as usual)

I have this 9/10! Bough a complete new pc and it still keeps freezes. I am done with this stuff as it makes me furious and i can't enjoy Evo anymore.

So long it was nice for the last four years. rFactor here i come again!!!

problem from my computer found, so i hope.

i do have a temperature sensor with display unit on my computer. it has a backlight, and it seems to be broken.


also in the meanwhile downloaded for sure new drivers fore my graphic card.


(Bram, freezes and black screens do also appear when for example virus update is downloading new files to the computer)

all was going well!!!

i can't remember where i quallied as i don't really like it, as long as i start thats all i worry about lol.

was having a bit of a battle with Rob Goldthorpe for a few laps. i overpowered coming out of the T5(left hairpin) Rob must have thought it was him who span me round,as he waited and appologised, but it wasn't Rob, it was all my own doing, but many thanks mate.

i managed to get going again in about 16th place, thought i would just take it steady till lap 16 and keep to my pit strategy, all went well. was up to 7th place and on lap 32 i came out of T6 and it just speared off into the left side wall, killing the engine immediately, i'm gutted, i was enjoying that tremendously.

i'll get the some day, honest i will.

fantastic racing guys.

Bram, try not to be despondant mate, i'm sure there must be a few people on here who know what the problem may be.

Bram i used to suffer freezes almost every race and a huge amount of disconnects and the majority were caused by a windows service. Since then I have created a batch file that stops most services except necessary ones that i run before starting the game and since then have suffered no freezes, i do have the odd 1 second stutter but you hardly notice. The disconnects occur still but not as often. If you want to try it I will zip it up and post it. An early version is posted somewhere on the forum but since then i have added quite a few more. Or if you prefare i can post just the services i leave running so you can compare.

Had a good race to be honest. Quali was ok blah blah blah..... Had a bit of a brain fart on about lap 40.. I started to spin and instead of trying to catch it i just let it spin around :lol:

Quality racing lads, cya in a few weeks for the next one :smile-big:

Had a huge fight with Mehmet Arslan

We always see each other and fight on the track , nice race though, could be better but some little mistakes costed me some places and ended up 12th.

Almost catched Yoeri but then those stupid mistakes.

Geuss i was too nervous .

Qualifying - 20th:
Wasn't a particularly fast lap, but a lot faster thanks to Aritan's setup

Race - 17th:
Was okay, fast enough of the back of the grid, but cars were bunched up in places, being bumped off, and there were incident. Hit Niall Gault as he came into the line, and couldn't avoid him, sorry. Race was spent mostly at the back. Aritan fell down the grid somehow, and he caught up to me. As he was faster and he had a batter chance at points, I pulled off the line of T4 to let him pass, but I probably didn't give him eneough room and he hit me. Sorry Aritan, really sorry. At least we didn't lose positions.

Thanks for the race, better than Zhuhai (hated that track). Getting used to these.

Qual: P2 with a not good lap

Race:

First laps was behind Peter and thinked how to catch and pass him. Well i thinked too much and on lap 5 small mistake and Peter jump off to 5 sec. From there the gap was slightly increasing and i know that have no chance to catch him. Lap 25 another mistake i frustrated and lost concentration, lap 35 another bad move and i lost P2 for Andreas. I thinked that i will catch him but on last pit my mechanics start to do his job 7 second after i stoped . After pit gap was 7 second and i cant get to my rythm. Few little mistakes comes and to end of race i was defending my position because Joao was coming. I not let him to pass me and P3 at the finish.

Congrats Peter, awesome driving mate, well done. Congrats also Andreas and all who finish
