How am I supposed to set steering lock on BMW? I use 900 deg and 31 lock for that retro max BMW, which should be real values according to the internet, but this retro cool BMW is weird. Looks like 18 should be OK? I haven't found any real values for retro cool cars.

I searched a lot on this subject when i started playing race07

The steering ratio for the BMW CSL (retro max) is 18.9:1 so with 900º the steering lock should be set to 23,8 (24) if you want to simulate the real car

I never found the real steering ratio for the BMW 2002 so i allways use the same as BMW CSL

This is the formula to setup the steering lock:
Steering Degress / 2 / Steering Ratio = Steering Lock

Ex: BMW M3 E30 (WTCC 87)

Steering Degrees (on logitech profiler) = 900
Steering Ratio (in real car) = 19.6 : 1
900 / 2 / 19.6 = 22.9

So in car setup i just change Steering Lock to 23 (22.9) and i get the real car steering ratio:)

Was really looking forward to this, love the track.
Ive not had much racing time on race07, but thought I had covered everything...
until I went into the pit to put wet tyres on.
I had a pit strategy ready to go, but I couldnt find a button to press that would confirm my selections!!

Arrrggghh.
So, I was out basically, couldnt do anything in the pit lane.
Oh well, it was a learning curve I guess

when i started to use race07 offline it also hapenned the same to me

@Jorge Alves Thanks, but I know the formula. Looks like I made a mistake. These values 900 and 31 lock are recalculated, I guess. Real should be 972 deg and 33,5 lock with 14,5:1 ratio. I found the same WTCC87 ratio as you did.

But what values are used with retro cool cars? Looks like no info on the internet.

And sign me up, please. The default setup is very bad, but when I tweaked it a bit, the car really livened up. Big fun!
