Like most, I didn't have a car for this track but found a great one in the 07 NAtional" files! Just a bit of tweaking and I had a bulletproof car, it never let me down.

R1: Off the line well and It looked like Thomas was asleep at the start behind me. The gap to those ahead slowly but constantly increased and I kept an eye open for Eric E as there was a gap that shouldn't have been there. I figured he was keeping his tires in shape for a late race attack. Hmmm, end of race coming up and I'm still all alone. What happened Eric?

R2: Eric and I sit in front of the hounds from Hell! From P2 I get to T1 before Eric does and manage to get thru it without ending up in the gravel, close but on my way to T2! I know it's going to happen but man, I'm trying to delay the wave of overtaking that's going to happen. In just a few laps it's over and I'm back in my normal spot. I'm trying to run my fastest lap each lap but somehow I end up thinking, ok maybe daydreaming, thru the first half of the track. Each time I find myself doing that, I can see that I'm under my fastest lap time for the sector! Sometimes I get to maintain some of the time to the end. I might have to work on that more than car setup and see what happens!

Great racing!

Dateline: Lakeville, Connectciut

Limerock Park officials decided to completely ignore the "quiet hours" laws governing running engines after 5PM today. there were 3 teams spotted, and heard quite clearly, testing at the venerable "mountain" circuit.

The Synaptic behemoth sent out Eric Nelson with a trailer full of different models to shake out more of the preseason testing work. HE was in no less than 4 different cars in the FWD stables. Seat Leon, Honda Accord, Pugeot 407 and the Audi A4. all ran in the 39.1-.2 brackets with 30L of fuel and mid road setup it was leaked from unidentified anonymous sources close to the team.

The spies also caught Eric Estes from LONGSHOT wringing out the Seat Leon as well. HE seemed to be sharing abit of info with Synaptic as he and Nelson were busy over the laptops comparing some data and discussing car feel. Estes quietly ran in the 40's but it is reported this was a complete sandbagging op by LONGSHOT!

Kane LAsky from Bon Accord Clan also showed up to test the HOnda Accord. This seemd a bit odd given his "plain Vanilla" tag of that model in earlier testimony. 27 laps brought him dipping that piece 'o crap into the 39.1's with Nelson is in fact a big shot across the bow given Nelson's reputation at this venue and race win here last season.... Ninja's will be deployed soon......

currently no otehr teams were sighted but rumor has it that DHR was going to send Saul Boucher to the track for some work and possibly TYler Scurlock would fly in to join his teammate Nelson and the team for some rust removal work.

stay tuned, more useless gossip to follow!

Quali: I am Capable of doing 1:37's with the 407 But made a little mistake and did a 1:38.1. Good for an 8th position.

Race 1: Had a bad start due to a long first gear and lost some positions. 11th in T1 if I remember correctly. A TDI caused carnage in T1 as described above. Gained some positions because of it. In lap three I was driven of track by a Beemer trying to braking in to my line in T1. Grrr!!! Dropped to the back of the field and decided to pit in lap 5. Had a good pit stop and positioned 9th after a couple of laps. Had a fierce battle with Simon who's A4 was to fast for the 407 on this track.

Race 2: Nice racing with Peter D who's beemer was to fast on the straights. Settled for 4th. Which is a good result with a 407 :)
