I know we are all excited for this release. What I don't know is how many people intend to a) play it on the xbox one and b) would like to join some sort of a formal league here at Race Department.

There are so many possibilities, I've had to calm myself down from getting lost in them. However, my main passion, IndyCar, will probably not be able to be run until the DLC with the ovals comes to the Xbox One.

That said, what sort of series would you like to see? Personally, ones that come to mind are Tudor United Sports Car Series, WEC, British Touring Car, and DTM. One of these could fill the gap for me until IndyCar is possible, but others may have better ideas.

Please indicate below if you are interested and what sort of times you are available and which series' you prefer. We could follow the actual schedule of many a series, due to the timing of the release. Personally, if they get the ovals out before IndyCar starts, I'll probably turn my focus there, but nothing would prevent running another alongside.

The anticipation is killing me!

This is the same issue ive had the previous two rounds. I loose the rear on turn in. feels like im driving a fwd on mcdonalds trays, can hold it to a point and then its gone without an real warning.
You can also try softening the rear springs as well. What are you running in the rear camber area. I have found that when I increase the rear camber as high as it will go (going from -3.5 to -1.5 for the Porsche) that the tyre temp is even across the board. This holds true for every track that I have ran. Increase the tyre camber on the rear to see what your temps are across the tyre (Increasing meaning go more positive than negative). You should have an even temp across the tyre utilizing the entire tyre contact patch. This should help. You can also try to increase positive toe on the rear as well as on the front. Negative toe on the front will increase turn in Going positive will help take some turn in out of the car.

These are a couple of things that have found to help myself out. My car is usually very consistent throughout the race.

I found this guide to be the best out there as far as tuning for Pcars 1 and it works in Pcars 2 as well.

The temps and pressures are bang on what i run in practice, there is nothing different it seems, however it really is when you actually drive it. also find this with the ford GTE at LM, car is proper neutral, bit pushy if anything, go into a race with the exact same setup and the rear is gone, still tho the temps and pressures are ideal. Oh and its only affected online, never in single player.

I found at Algarve it took a good 25 laps for it to settle but even then T1 was always taken like it had a micro-climate of arctic weather.

Would have to say that it is a game glitch then. Let SMS know. Maybe they are working on a fix for the next patch.

The Track

nurburgring-grand-prix-circuit-oxcgn.jpg

The Nurburgring, first created in 1927, around the medieval castle in Nurburg, Germany. Nicknamed the green hell by Jackie Stewart, the GP Version of the track was finished in 1984, as the Nordschleife was deemed too dangerous for motorsport, and too difficult to marshall, due to the track spanning almost 13 miles, hence the new 5.148km version we have now, which is what we will be racing on. The track was at first strongly disliked by locals and motorsport fans, due to fans being much further from the track, it's lack of character and perceived few overtaking opportunities, earning it nicknames such as Ersatzring, (replacement ring). To celebrate the opening of the track, the organisers hosted a star studded race, featuring the likes of Niki Lauda, Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost, James hunt etc. All the drivers were driving identical Mercedes 190E's. Ayrton won that race, ahead of Lauda, who missed qualifying and had to start last. The track won rights to F1 For it's first 2 years in 1984 & 1985, as F1 did not stay, the tracks highlight events being the DTM 1000km, and Truck racing. following Michael Schumacher's 1st F1 Title, F1 returned to the Nurburgring, as the European Grand Prix between 1995 & 2006 (The GP Of Luxembourg in 1997 & 1998). Such highlights are the 1999 GP, Where in changeable conditions Johnny Herbert won for Stewart GP, And the spectacular suspension failure of Kimi Raikkonen on the last lap, trying to fend off eventual winner Fernando Alonso. in 2007 the FIA announced that the Nurburgring would alternate F1 rights with the Hockenheimring. However in recent years the German GP Has become a stop-start fixture on the F1 Calendar due to money issues. The current lap record is a 1:29.468 set by Michael Schumacher in his Ferrari F2004.

Hotlap

This week a Cayman GT4 Will provide our hotlap

Last Time Out

The feature race saw a lively start, with Liam causing an incident, hampering Ben & Jamies races. Adam got the best start, sneaking into P2. Nathan misjudged it later in the lap, going into Liam. Benji, Ramsay & Nathan found themselves embroiled in a 3 car battle, with Benji ultimately winning. Oz had established a commanding lead, while Gaz tried to get past Adam, and he duely did. Liam spun on Lap 7, dropping behind Benji and Nathan. Once the stops played out, Benji had taken P3, With Liam P4 & Adam P5. Adam had a nightmare few laps, which ultimately ended with him spinning on the last lap conceding P5 to Ben, who had made a great recovery. The sprint race started lively, with Jeremy spinning on Lap 1, And turn 1 Lap 2 was where it kicked off, With Oz & Ben going deep, Matt flew down the inside, but spun and caused a pile up, with 4 more cars going into him. The order had been shaken up, with Oz, Ben & Liam the top 3. Benji and Nathan had a battle, again, which Benji won. Meanwhile ben was getting hounded by the SFR Boys, first losing P2 to Liam, then on Lap 11, losing P3 to Gaz, Ben nearly regained P3, but some SFR Team tactics stopped him. Oz took 2 wins from 2, Gaz 2 podiums, and now a very close championship!

Questions

Its an endurance this week, do you like these races, and should there be more or less of them?

Fuji was the first race with the new car rules, were you happier now or before with the racing?

No wet races so far, does this bother you

I have pretty good history in endurance races, despite never winning one.

Fuji was the first race with the new car rules, were you happier now or before with the racing?
Ben, Adam, Jamie and me were set to have an epic battle, unfortunately that didn't happen.
The racing we be a lot closer now, however the same 2 drivers will win the features.

No wet races so far, does this bother you
Yes, me like rain

I like the longer races, but I prefer 1-1.5 hours. Two hours is pushing the limit for me.

I don’t think banning cars had any effect because the cars banned weren’t any faster than the Audi and Lamborghini. The patch changing the hard tires definitely improved how hard you can race each other though.

No wet races so far, does this bother you. Not really.

IS THE IN GAME DATE OF THE RACE GOING TO BE SET TO NOVEMBER 24TH???

I really like the endurance events... sucks that due to time issues that I can't race in any of them. =(

I was joking with Ben that everyone was going to switch into the same car and man I was basically right.

No wet races so far, does this bother you?
Not really.... it isn't really rainy season in any place that we have raced so far. Probably could've had it in COTA with how random that forecast was.

On a side note, I will be joining Frank in the commentary booth this week for the endurance. I plan to split my time between the booth and track for the rest of the season.

I like them as they can close up an otherwise boring championship. This season it looks fairly close and I think most have closed oz's advantage from Fuji so this could be a classic. More needed I think

I'm happy with the cars we have now but we should have capped the amount of one car allowed as there are more options than the Audi and faster ones if anyone bothered to try them instead of copy everyone! Disappointing

No

Been working hard on drivers this week and it looks like we might have a couple coming so please give them a chance instead of the usual negativity

Also great to get lance in the comms booth with frank we all no frank is excellent but it was hard for him to see everything that happens. Lance was the best co commentator in season 2 so expecting some great commentary
