PC2 Project Cars 2 Leagues (merged)

I know we are all excited for this release. What I don't know is how many people intend to a) play it on the xbox one and b) would like to join some sort of a formal league here at Race Department.

There are so many possibilities, I've had to calm myself down from getting lost in them. However, my main passion, IndyCar, will probably not be able to be run until the DLC with the ovals comes to the Xbox One.

That said, what sort of series would you like to see? Personally, ones that come to mind are Tudor United Sports Car Series, WEC, British Touring Car, and DTM. One of these could fill the gap for me until IndyCar is possible, but others may have better ideas.

Please indicate below if you are interested and what sort of times you are available and which series' you prefer. We could follow the actual schedule of many a series, due to the timing of the release. Personally, if they get the ovals out before IndyCar starts, I'll probably turn my focus there, but nothing would prevent running another alongside.

Well you wanted to race!!! Lol

New patch changed the car dramatically so was about making it driveable it was ok but not balanced

Start was poor because the game put me on bumper cam and by the time I had cycled through to chase cam I couldn’t start how I wanted. Dropped two places instantly then lost out to andrew in the twisty section with a great move. Thought back instantly on the front straight re-passing after a bit of rubbing

Caught matt within a lap and planned the overtake but unfortunately matt spun on a kerb that I spent all day trying to do the same. Unlucky matt but only good thing was I somehow avoided you lol. Liam was about 2.5-3 seconds up the road by now I closed very gradually and he was doing a fine job in the M6 on its debut.

But just as we reached the pitstops I closed the gap we had an initial battle before Liam pitted (I thought I tricked him into going in he thought he tricked me into staying out) I went long like Dubai and came out of my stop 1.5 behind but this time I closed in fast and after a great fight took p2. Strokes it Home to my second podium of the season very pleased with that and deserved after a stressful week

SMS got rid of it. Really strange and frankly unnecessary decision. Makes the combined nurb layout the only option for racing.

Cheers Nic, I had that thread the other day and had my say in it. It's a 'design decision according to the mods but nobody from SMS has actually bothered to contribute and give any reasoning behind that. Completely bonkers as that layout was the most popular in the online lobbies in pCars 1. The fact they never mention anywhere that it's been handicapped in that way is what really peeves me as that circuit is a big part of why I bought the game.

Morning all, i think it would be best that we continue up until the Christmas break and use that to test and re-evaluate the game. to take a break again now would just postpone another event in such a long season and with 1-2 races before Christmas its not worth taking another break until then.

Does the director mode not work? It has more tools that Frank could use to catch the action.

They actually reduced the restrictor on the 488 so it’s now a bit slower and down on power. I haven’t really noticed too much change in grip, I’m sure that will depend on what setup you’re running. So far I managed a 1:43.8 in quali trim at Algrave.

What do we think about maybe switching back to manual rolling starts like last year? I know that had its problems but I think a lot of people are getting tyre pressure bugs form the auto rolling start e.g Tom last race. I know for all 3 races my starting temps and pressures have been way high.

Anyone got any thoughts, solutions?
Also, does the patch enable bigger lobbies?
