I know we are all excited for this release. What I don't know is how many people intend to a) play it on the xbox one and b) would like to join some sort of a formal league here at Race Department.

There are so many possibilities, I've had to calm myself down from getting lost in them. However, my main passion, IndyCar, will probably not be able to be run until the DLC with the ovals comes to the Xbox One.

That said, what sort of series would you like to see? Personally, ones that come to mind are Tudor United Sports Car Series, WEC, British Touring Car, and DTM. One of these could fill the gap for me until IndyCar is possible, but others may have better ideas.

Please indicate below if you are interested and what sort of times you are available and which series' you prefer. We could follow the actual schedule of many a series, due to the timing of the release. Personally, if they get the ovals out before IndyCar starts, I'll probably turn my focus there, but nothing would prevent running another alongside.

The anticipation is killing me!

Since I can't argue in the stewards thread, it will continue here.

I understand that you changed it, but the drivers have to be briefed on the change before that round. Otherwise, the change takes effect in the next round. This is like if the FIA did a rule change right before a F1 race and didn't include it in the drivers briefing before the event. Second, what is an event? Is that both rounds or each round by itself?

The point of the hotspots is to discourage cutting/extending... by extending the amount allowed, you are actually encouraging people to abuse track limits... this needs to be reversed!

The first hotspot was a complete joke since you added the extra curbing... everyone said that corner pushes you wide... therefore you need to carry less speed into that corner to keep it on circuit. That corner was designed that way for a reason.

With the amount of time most of you spend practicing, there is absolutely no reason why you guys can't keep it on the track.... seriously... i practice about 10 times less than you guys and manage to keep it on the track.

That last part is irrelevant since Adam had the same amount of cuts as you. He even said in a party that you shouldn't be allowed to cut once, however he does it for other people who seem to struggle at this, and mistakes do happen.

I don't personally know the full reasoning for extending the number, but it would still make zero changes to the outcome of this race, regardless if the number was 6 or 8.

Don't know why you have to make such a big fuss about it, it's just a race on a game, not a life and death matter :)

And also, what are you actually going to benefit from this?
It's ok mentioning it, the message will get across, but constantly complaining about it and not letting it go is just sad and petty.

Hate to say it buddy, but i agree with lance. Also i was on 7, so would have been taken to stewards.

I get that it won't benefit lance, but i think it was a fair point he made. Consistency is key and no one can argue with that from my stewarding history ;)

I understand there are some misunderstandings about the hot spots. Yes, this was changed pretty last minute and was not updated in time on the forums. Yet, the stewards were informed in time and probably all drivers profited from this change.

We will review the rules and post any possible changes in time before next race.

If a driver has any issues with the current rules and regulations, or has any questions about them, please contact Adam or me.
For now, we will stick with the rules known to the stewards.

As for making contact: this is still not allowed, even though the contact glitch is gone. Try to stay clear of making any contact at all and try to avoid this at all cost. Making contact with another driver won’t benefit anyone. Drive fast but clean.

I usually always run Hard up front and soft in the rear. Yesterday practice at catalunya I was burning up the left rear on the long sweeping right turns. I am going to try to run hard all the way around to see how it works out. Was able to get in the mid 1:49's before spinning out due to an overheated left rear.

Good luck frank you will need it lol

Yeah I want to try and run Controlled Rolling starts so we can run Hards in the race. Manual formation laps the tires get too cold it's like driving on cold tires in PC1 again, nearly impossible. The Softs actually like to run cold and should only be used for qualifying and cold track conditions.

I understand that mistakes happen, because I make them from time to time.

I make a “fuss” about it because I’m passionate about racing and allowing people to possibly take advantage of a track to gain massive time is unfair for all racers. I might not personally gain anything but I’ve been mentioning this crap since S1 and it’s basically the same... so message not received.

Sad and petty would be me shutting my mouth and taking it on the chin. Sorry that I believe to stand up and try to better the league for current and future drivers

Let's just forget about Algarve for a minute, we all now know the rules on track limits and it looks like we have a good system in place catch those exploiting them.
Now can we all stop with all this nonsense and move our focus onto the next race as this whole issue is frustrating many and some very good drivers have already had talks about leaving.
This should be fun and fair racing all I've witnessed so far is chaos both on track and especially in the forum.
P.S. LOVE YOU ALL :)

I think that GT1 could be pretty fun!
GT1 does seem to be carrying the day. They are a good mix between GTO and C1. Less downforce and power than the Group C1 but more grip and power than the GTO class. Also, the GT1 cars have good top speed, like the rest, but the other classes run a bit faster on ovals.

Next question would be, are the A.I. viable enough to include in races? I think on road courses, they are just fine. I race with skill level at 100 and aggression at 85. During my try at the Ginetta Jr. career, I came in 4th in the standings, but threw one race away. But everyone varies.
