I know we are all excited for this release. What I don't know is how many people intend to a) play it on the xbox one and b) would like to join some sort of a formal league here at Race Department.

There are so many possibilities, I've had to calm myself down from getting lost in them. However, my main passion, IndyCar, will probably not be able to be run until the DLC with the ovals comes to the Xbox One.

That said, what sort of series would you like to see? Personally, ones that come to mind are Tudor United Sports Car Series, WEC, British Touring Car, and DTM. One of these could fill the gap for me until IndyCar is possible, but others may have better ideas.

Please indicate below if you are interested and what sort of times you are available and which series' you prefer. We could follow the actual schedule of many a series, due to the timing of the release. Personally, if they get the ovals out before IndyCar starts, I'll probably turn my focus there, but nothing would prevent running another alongside.

The anticipation is killing me!

We can go with the non endurance care. I'll take 911 if you are taking 912. Not worried about the saved setups as I am going to delete all my setups and make a base global set up and tune off of that.

I can always switch over to the non endurance 911 in the PRL league. We are still in preseason there.

Sounds good man. We'll roll with that then.

S6 is finally here, along with a new game, what do you so far think of Project Cars 2?
It has great potential, but there are still so many bugs that need to be fixed. This game shouldn't have been released yet. We should do a season in GT Sport instead ;)

We've had almost 3 months of off season, how have you found it/spent it?
I definitely needed a break. 3 months is a tad too long, but I wouldn't mind more time off between seasons (like a month or so).

What in particular are you most looking forward to from the new game this season?

LiveTrack 3.0 sure seems to add another dimension to the racing. It sure isn't going to make it any easier, but I'm looking forward to the crash videos.

Good game, but same old story as everyone else.

Away from games I went to F1, MotoGP, Speedway GP, British GT and BTCC, but then lots of testing once my wheel arrived.

The weather changes should spice things up, and who knows, maybe we can have another round of destruction derby at Donnington ;)

Ran Watkins Glen last night for about an hour and a half with 13 of 16 and it was pretty solid. A few blips here and there, but I'm not sure whether that was on my end or the hosts.
That's indeed good news. I'll post an invite on the SMS forums and see who turns up. Also, I'll put a poll up with three choices -- GTO; Group C1; and GT1. When we get 6-7 I think it's a go. Ovals and Road Courses. If the lobbies are stable, we won't have to worry about the A.I. on ovals (but I will say, I ran with them at 120% skill and 0% aggression (at Indy) and it was a pretty authentic experience. They were still a bit slow, but not bad.

GTO are mid 90s muscle cars that can run on both ovals and road courses, although in real life, they never ran on ovals. They were part of the old Trans-Am Series, that was mostly in the USA. Some say they remind them of an old school stock car with better handling, which is why they are great for ovals.

Group C1 are the early 90s Prototypes in GT style that were part of the Wold Sportscar Championship. These cars were almost as fast as F1 cars, with a higher top speed. Perfect for ovals and road courses, since they love to go fast and sound great, and strike a balance between GTO and GT1, but are faster than either.

GT1 2000+ FIA spec cars that preceded the current GTE Class. They were not designed for ovals, so they are not really a challenge to drive on ovals, but are not just a walk in the park either, because of their speed. On road courses, they fly.
