I know we are all excited for this release. What I don't know is how many people intend to a) play it on the xbox one and b) would like to join some sort of a formal league here at Race Department.

There are so many possibilities, I've had to calm myself down from getting lost in them. However, my main passion, IndyCar, will probably not be able to be run until the DLC with the ovals comes to the Xbox One.

That said, what sort of series would you like to see? Personally, ones that come to mind are Tudor United Sports Car Series, WEC, British Touring Car, and DTM. One of these could fill the gap for me until IndyCar is possible, but others may have better ideas.

Please indicate below if you are interested and what sort of times you are available and which series' you prefer. We could follow the actual schedule of many a series, due to the timing of the release. Personally, if they get the ovals out before IndyCar starts, I'll probably turn my focus there, but nothing would prevent running another alongside.

The anticipation is killing me!

Has anyone played this game on a 4K tv? Just wondering if it's worth it for Xbox1?

Hi Mike.
I bought my daughter a 4K for Christmas and whilst I didn't think I'd notice any difference, I actually did. Obviously, you can't get a higher definition picture, but the sheer number of pixels on the screen and (likely) the TV's internal up-converting just make for a sharper, more satisfying image. The image is sharper, cleaner. I was very impressed.
After many years of being a faithful Samsung customer, I've only purchased Vizio M-Series screens in the last few years and I'm a pretty picky buyer when it comes to technology. I use professional picture calibration tools on all my screens to ensure most natural/true to life colors/contrast etc and M-Series is fantastic. Samsung and the others just oversaturate to try to make them 'pop' but it's not as accurate. In my opinion you simply can't beat the quality of picture at the price. Of course, this is subjective, but the calibration isn't as it conforms to standards.
Should you buy a 4K TV if you are in the market? Absolutely. It's where gaming will be within a year two. If you are buying larger than 50" you might want to do your research on refresh rates as some cheaper screens can still suffer from ghosting. Under 50", you should be good with most quality screens.
Cheers.

Update For Oulton Park Feature Race Results

.Due To @Andrew Holmes 5 Second Time Penalty The Feature Race Results Are Now As Follows.

1st - Dean
2nd - Adel
3rd - Ben
4th - Gareth
5th - Benji
6th - Adam
7th - Liam
8th - Rob
9th - Tom
10th - Bajny
11th - Andrew

@Ben Milden Can You Please Update The Points As Shown Above For The Oulton Feature Race

Check your times. I don't think a 5 second penalty lost him 6 places. The results picture from above, the gap is based off fastest lap not how you finished.

I have a 4k TV as the main house TV and although I have not connected up the XBO to it I can say that the picture is absolutely stunning so I can;t see why the picture from pCars wouldn't be also thumbsup:

With the massive screen tearing and frame drop on some tracks (like Monaco) in pCARS, I always thought a 4K would be like putting lipstick on a pig. But pigs do look better with lipstick after all. lol. Anyone tried the 4K with DiRT? Frame rate is rock solid and the resolution is 1080p.

How long have I been racing in this league!? And at no point this week did I set my tyre pressures for my pit stop!! PANICKED, tried setting the pressures, had a 50 second pit stop and still managed to put inters on. Slip slided around for half a lap, then put it in the wall and retired! #sucha****ingnumbnuts

Literally the funniest thing I've read all season sorry man lol

I've seen what 4K can do to regular digital HD cable. Makes old movies look new and sports are pretty awesome, but I was wondering if the added expense of 4K is actually worth the investment for my Xbox1 tv or it will just become the next living room tv. My folks have a 4K that can convert displays to 3D ( sort of ) was wondering if anyone has tried this with a game. Be interest if anyone answers Robert's question about Dirt.

Hey Globe, what tools do you use for calibration. I have a Vizio M series 50" in the living, but would like to adjust the pic. I haven't played Pcars on it, but The Division on the PS4 looks amazing. I may have to try Pcars on the PS4 to see what it would look like.
